BAD GAMBLE GOES UP IN FLAMES FOR TOP PROSPECT

Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby, thought to be a potential first round pick for the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft, suddenly finds his football career in jeopardy. The school announced on Monday that Sorsby, who signed a $5M NIL to play at Texas Tech for the upcoming season, has entered a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction. According to NCAA guidelines released in 2023, players who “wager on their own games or on other sports at their own schools” will “potentially face permanent loss of collegiate eligibility in all sports.” The gambling addiction reportedly spreads over several years, dating back to his time at Cincinnati and then at Indiana, where he placed wagers while a member of the team. In total, Sorsby placed over 10,000 bets, many on college football games over the past four years, sometimes averaging over 20 bets per day. Texas Tech has currently suspended NIL payments to Sorsby during the investigation and his future is now clouded in controversy. A temporary or permamnet suspension by the NCAA is certainly possible, should he choose to remain in school. Another option could be the NFL Supplemental Draft. Surely, NFL teams will have major reservations about selecting a player who compromises the integrity of the game. We will continue to monitor this story and update here at ITL as it unfolds, stay tuned.

FUTURE NFL DRAFT SITES UNDER CONSIDERATION

The NFL Draft has become a lucrative traveling show that brings with it a magnificent boost to the economy for it’s host city. Since it’s departure from long running host New York City in 20215, the NFL has hosted the event in locations such as Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, Cleveland and Las Vegas. It has also included smaller markets such as Kansas City, Detroit, Green Bay and most recently Pittsburgh. Over the past decade, the league has seen the popularity of the draft grown significantly from 200,000 fans who attended the first relocated draft in Chicago, to over 800,000 fans in Pittsburgh, setting a new all-time record. Much like the NFL awards host Super Bowl cities years in advance, the league is getting prepared to announce the site of future NFL Draft sites. Thus far, Washington D.C. has been named the host for the 2027 NFL Draft. A report this week by Sports Business Journal, indicates that Minneapolis-St. Paul is considered the clear frontrunner to host the 2028 NFL Draft. The NFL event committee is scheduled to meet on the topic next week, as ownership vote is expected to occur at their May 19-20 meeting in Orlando. An approval would make U.S. Bank Stadium the center of draft weekend. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has emerged as the favorite to host the 2029 NFL Draft, per the article. Other cities in contention, according to commissioner Rodger Goodell, include Baltimore, Buffalo, Charlotte, Houston Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Seattle.

NFL DRAFT BIBLE 2027 HOT 100 PROSPECTS

Our 2027 NFL Draft coverage is underway! The NFL Draft Bible Hot 100 examines the top draft-eligible prospects in the land for the 2027 NFL Draft in Washington DC. The list is compiled by the internal scouting department at NFL Draft Bible and factors in feedback from various NFL sources.

There is sure to be plenty of moving and shaking between now and next April but the ‘Hot 100 List’ provides a strong overview on who some of the top targets are as we begin the scouting process. Most but not all NFL teams subscribe to scouting services such as BLESTO or NFS, which provides updates periodically throughout the season, while other organizations choose to gather information and rankings independently. The breakdown is as follows:

• BLESTO (12 teams): ATL, BUF, CHI, CLE, DAL, DET, HOU, JAC, MIA, MIN, NYG, PIT.

• National (15 teams): AZ, CAR, CIN, DEN, GB, KC, NO, NYJ, PHI, SD (LAC), SF, SEA, TB, TEN, and others.

• Independent (5 teams): BAL, IND, NE, LV, WAS.

With spring ball wrapping up for many college football programs, the first phase of the pre-draft process has been completed, as scouts have conducted spring visits, gathered verified measurements and have compiled their watch lists for each school, which has become a bit more tedious in recent years due to the large amount of transfers. This is also a time of year when college pro liaisons are most vital, as information on new players can tend to be a bit more difficult to track down.

During the summer scouting months, diligent scouts understand that this is where you can get ahead of the competition, as the more preparation invested during the dog days can make for a much smoother process when transitioning into the heavy travel load required for training camp visits. While numerous teams have cut down on in-season travel for area scouts and have leaned more on film access/technology, scouts can spend 250 days on the road in a typical year.

As we glance ahead to the upcoming draft class, there will be much hype about the potential quarterback class. The current NIL landscape has made it more enticing for signal-callers to stay in school longer, so it remains to be seen just how many will declare. Overall, the NFL Draft Bible Hot 100 features a whopping 10 quarterback prospects, including five in the top 15!

It also appears to be another strong year for wide receivers, as 15 made the top 100, while 11 offensive tackles also made the cut. Other total breakdowns on offense include six running backs, five tight ends, three offensive guards and two centers. On defense, there is a plethora of edge rushers and cornerbacks, with 13 each, along with nine linebackers, six defensive tackles and seven safeties.

ALL ACCESS FOOTBALL 2026 NFL DRAFT RECAP

Every NFL general manager and front office member for each organization departs the war room feeling optimistic about their incoming rookie class upon the conclusion of the draft. They have identified each prospect based on specific traits they desire and how each player fits into their specific scheme.

The 2026 NFL Draft Class had less of a consensus than typical, due to the shortage of talent. Many observers point towards the evolution of NIL, as more players would rather stay in school and collect the ‘guaranteed’ money, rather than taking their chances by entering the draft. The premier underclassmen continue to declare early but this could be a trend of things to come at an even larger scale in future drafts, something worth keeping an eye on.

The NFL Draft is such an odyssey, there is no way to truly determine who had the ‘best draft,’ or ‘worst draft’ and we will not be able to determine the results until several years down the road. Instead, we will take a different approach of examining who stands to benefit the most with their selections by breaking it down into several categories.

Below, we have assigned a score (1-10) to gauge the impact of various aspects of the draft. When selecting first round picks, these players are expected to make an immediate impact, so we have assigned an isolated round one score. Next, will be an overall draft impact score, to assess how the entire group will impact each team. It weighs elements such as immediate and long-term impact, how many starters are expected to emerge, along with round/positional value. In essence, how does it correlate to the win column.

2026 NFL DRAFT IMPACT, VALUE PICKS & UDFAs TO WATCH

For each NFL team, we have rated the impact of first round players, chosen the best value picks and have highlighted one undrafted free agent to keep an eye on, plus the overall impact for every franchise.

In terms of greatest impact, some teams that stood out include the Miami Dolphins, who took a big first step in changing the culture with a total 13 swings to connect on draft selections. Tremendous value selections such as linebacker Jacob Rodriguez of Texas Tech (second round), wideout Chris Bell of Louisville (third round) and linebacker Kyle Louis of Pittsburgh (fourth round), all stand a strong shot to emerge as eventual starters, alongside first round selection, offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor of Alabama. New general manager Jon Eric-Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley seem to have the organization headed in the right direction.

The Pittsburgh Steelers also added some heavy ammunition, adding offensive tackle Max Iheanachor of Arizona State in round one and wideout Germie Bernard of Alabama in round two. They identified some high impact players in the middle rounds such as cornerback Daylen Everette of Georgia, along with Iowa teammates in offensive lineman Gennings Dunker and return extraordinaire Kaden Wetjen, plus do-it-all fullback Riley Nowakowski, then added the dynamic Eli Heindenreich of Navy with their final selection in the seventh round. Pittsburgh is geared up for a potential deep run in the playoffs should new head coach Mike McCarthy be able to sway quarterback Aaron Rodgers to return for one more shot at a Lombardi Trophy.

Lookout for the Chiefs, whose rookie class should help fuel a return to playoff contention. Plugging in two new starters with their first round selections of cornerback Mansoor Delane of LSU and defensive tackle Peter Woods of Clemson, plus adding another pass-rusher in R Mason Thomas of Oklahoma in the second round, is bound to help the Steve Spagnuolo-led defense get back on track. However, one of the biggest Day 3 values of the entire draft may reside in touchdown machine Cyrus Allen of Cincinnati who brings the speed element to blow the top off the defense that Kansas City has been trying to replace since the departure of Tyreek Hill.

Possibly the biggest ‘boom or bust’ draft class may belong to the Minnesota Vikings. With the team expected to name a permanent general manager shortly, head coach Kevin O’Connell enters the year on the hot seat. It will be vital for the team to receive contributions from first round pick, defensive tackle Caleb Downs of Florida. With teams questioning his work ethic and durability, it certainly comes with a potential bust factor. Considering only one guard was chosen in the second and third rounds each, offensive guard Keylan Rutledge of Georgia Tech may have been viewed as a ‘reach’ in round one. Meanwhile, the analytical front office department of the Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have a complete different method of evaluating players, as several members of the scouting community felt the Jaguars tended to ‘over-draft’ many of their selections.

With the 2026 NFL Draft completed, the countdown to ‘Destination DC’ begins now! While we are approximately 360 days away from the 92nd annual meeting for NFL teams to select draft-eligible players, it’s never too early to take a look ahead at what the next draft class has to offer.

Let the countdown to the 2027 NFL Draft in Washington DC begin …

2027 Big Board: QB | RB | WR | TE | OT | OG | C | DT | ER | LB | CB | S | ST

1. Arizona Cardinals - QB Arch Manning - Texas

The Cardinals didn’t bite on Ty Simpson and are firmly in the hunt for a quarterback in 2027. Manning would’ve likely been a first round pick due to his impressive tools and athleticism, even with inconsistencies in his tape. There’s no reason to believe he can’t cement himself as QB1 this season.

2. Miami Dolphins - WR Jeremiah Smith - Ohio State

You can definitely see the Green Bay influence in Miami’s draft. Taking a wideout this early may go against their philosophy but Smith is just too talented to pass on here. Size, physicality, speed and technique all rolled into one, Smith should continue to impress this year in Columbus and maintain his status as arguably the best player in the draft.

3. New York Jets - QB Dante Moore - Oregon

The Jets taking Kenyon Sadiq had no influence on this selection. They likely would’ve taken Moore if he declared for the draft this year and assuming he continues his growth as a passer, there’s no reason the Jets won’t want him in 2027.

4. Cleveland Browns - QB Drew Mestemaker - Oklahoma St.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Mestemaker play his way into being QB1 by next April. The former zero-star recruit, turned North Texas standout now has a chance to shine in the Big 12 and return Oklahoma State to the top ranks of college football. Time will tell if Shedeur Sanders can become a franchise quarterback.

5. Las Vegas Raiders - DT David Stone - Oklahoma

The Raiders have their quarterback and should look very hard at surrounding him with weapons but Stone is just too tantalizing to pass over for the Raiders defense. He possesses 34-inch arms, impressive explosiveness and powerful hands. Stone is an impressive interior prospect and immediately can be a difference maker in Las Vegas.

6. Atlanta Falcons - ER Colin Simmons - Texas

The future of James Pearce Jr. remains murky due to his pending legal matter, so adding a pass-rusher makes a ton of sense here. Simmons was the most explosive edge rusher in college football this past season, given his remarkable first step and ability to convert speed to power at 240 pounds.

7. Tennessee Titans - CB Leonard Moore - Notre Dame

Head coach Robert Saleh gets his Sauce Gardner 2.0 with this pick. Moore enters the year as the consensus CB1, showcasing impressive length and ball-skills last year for the Irish. The Titans have swung and missed on several cornerback additions in recent years but Moore is a plug-and-play difference maker on the back end.

8. Carolina Panthers - DT Will Echoles - Ole Miss

Two interior defensive linemen in the top ten might raise eyebrows but it’s easy to understand once you see Echoles. The Ole Miss product moves exceptionally well for his size and would be a nice addition alongside Derrick Brown, who’s been desperate for a reliable option next to him on the interior.

9. New Orleans Saints - ER Dylan Stewart - South Carolina

A second-half slump in 2025 has slightly dimmed the draft outlook for Simmons. Still, optimism remains high on his next level prospects, so long that he remains healthy and productive. The Saints are still seeking a long-term building block along the defensive line and adding an explosive pass-rusher such as Stewart would bode well.

10. New York Giants - WR Cam Coleman - Texas

Pairing Coleman with Malik Nabers could make for the best young wide receiver duo in the NFL. The former Auburn star has since transferred to Texas and is a big-bodied target with a great release and thrives in contested-catch situations. This would provide Jaxson Dart with two elite options on the outside.

11. Washington Commanders - S KJ Bolden - Georgia

Head coach Dan Quinn continues to add young, exciting and physical players to his defense grabbing with the Georgia safety. Bolden isn’t the biggest safety but does own rare cat-like instincts and is a menace against the run.

12. New York Jets (Via IND) - S Dashawn Spears - LSU

An athletic safety/nickel hybrid prospect, Spears owns tremendous ball-skills and is a true space-eater. Inserting him into the Jets defense would add a dynamic chess piece for the defense and would benefit with Minkah Fitzpatrick as a mentor.

13. Minnesota Vikings - WR Ryan Wingo - Texas

The Vikings will be evaluating quarterbacks Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy, which could ultimately determine what direction the team moves in. Should the situation pan out, then adding another wideout such as the versatile Wingo to compete with Jordan Addison as the WR2 would help elevate the offense.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers - QB LaNorris Sellers - South Carolina

This is a tough pick to make but there’s still a chance that Sellers has a stronger season to pair with his exceptional tools and athleticism. Head coach Mike McCarthy would be an ideal coach for Sellers but he still needs to take that step this year with the Gamecocks.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TE Jamari Johnson - Oregon

The Buccaneers offense is somewhat in a state of flux, so adding a tight end weapon such as Johnson could work wonders. The do-it-all tight end is trending towards developing into and even higher rated prospect than Ducks first round pick Kenyon Sadiq.

16. New York Jets (Via DAL) - OG Cayden Green - Missouri

The Jets still can use a long term option at guard and it’s always smart to protect a new rookie quarterback. Green has been playing left tackle at Missouri but likely projects as an interior prospect at the next level. He has thoroughly impressed with his power in the run game and ideal frame.

17. Chicago Bears - OT Trevor Goosby - Texas

Don’t be surprised to see Goosby chosen higher as offensive tackles tend to get pushed up the board. However, Chicago would be elated to add this blindside protector who owns ideal length and well-timed punches.

18. Cincinnati Bengals - OT Jordan Seaton - LSU

Here’s hoping Joe Burrow doesn’t get hurt again because of bad offensive line play. Seaton would be a welcomed addition at either tackle spot and has been highly touted since committing to Colorado. Now at LSU, he’s very light on his feet and knows how to keep his hands engaged on blocks.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Devin McCuin - Ohio State

Wide receiver remains a bit of a question mark for the Jaguars and Parker Washington is entering his contract year. A twitchy, sure-handed target, McCuin is expected to emerge opposite of Jeremiah Smith after transferring in from UTSA.

20. Denver Broncos - LB Ray Coney - Texas A&M

One name you can expect to hear more of is Coney, who transferred from Tulsa, to Texas A&M and is a well-built tackling machine with excellent range. Denver needs a linebacker and should pounce on adding Coney to the second level of their defense.

21. Houston Texans - RB Ahmad Hardy - Missouri

The Texans finally seem to have some depth on the offensive line, so adding a top-notch running back feels like a logical next step. Hardy is an early favorite to be the first running back chosen next year. He is a shifty and strong runner with plenty of production.

22. Philadelphia Eagles - ER Jonathan Maldonado - Ole Miss

There will be much discussion about Colin Simmons and Dylan Stewart but don’t be surprised if Maldonado enters that conversation. A very unique athlete who flashed special traits at Nevada, he now has a chance to take a big step at Ole Miss.

23. Detroit Lions - ER Teitum Tuioti - Oregon

There’s still a need for a consistent edge presence opposite of Aidan Hutchinson and Tuioti fits what the Lions are looking for. He’s a tone-setter with heavy hands and strong pass rush moves that fits the Dan Campbell identity.

24. Los Angeles Chargers - C Iapani Laloulu - Oregon

When in doubt, the Chargers seem to always resort back to the offensive line and the interior still has some questions. The versatile Laloulu provides center/guard flexibility and plays with power and violence that will be useful to boost the Chargers ground attack.

25. New England Patriots - WR Charlie Becker - Indiana

This is potentially a very exciting pairing with Drake Maye, as Becker emerged in the back half of this past season and now will be a top weapon in the Hoosiers offense with new quarterback Josh Hoover. With his ideal size and catch radius, he’d be perfect for the X-receiver spot.

26. San Francisco 49ers - OT Trevor Lauck - Iowa

The age old question of who will be Trent Williams heir apparent at left tackle could be answered with the Iowa standout. An exceptional mover with outside zone experience, Lauck can win at the second level.

27. Dallas Cowboys (Via GB) - LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa - Notre Dame

A second linebacker cracks the first round for a Dallas team still with a need in the middle of their defense. Viliamu-Asa is coming back from a torn ACL but flashed as a true three-down linebacker with versatility and physical play. He could become a top player in this class, if he stays healthy.

28. Kansas City Chiefs - OT Bryant Williams - Arkansas

Making the jump up to the ‘Power-Four,’ Williams is an intriguing prospect with a massive 6-foot-7, 335-pound frame and possesses sneaky athleticism, along with the ability to seal the edge.

29. Baltimore Ravens - ER Yhonzae Pierre - Alabama

Ravens fans of a certain age will remember former second round pick Courtney Upshaw. Let me introduce you to his cousin and fellow Alabama product Pierre. He’s more of a traditional pass-rusher with impactful hands, which lends to a nice floor both as a pass-rusher and a run defender.

30. Buffalo Bills - S Koi Perich - Oregon

Stop if you’ve heard this. A safety from an underachieving Big Ten school transfers to Oregon and cements themselves as a first round pick. Perich has been on the NFL radar for the past couple of years, similar to Dillon Thieneman. An incredibly fast and rangy athelete, he has also taken snaps on offense.

31. Seattle Seahawks - OG Evan Tengesdahl - Cincinnati

Even though they just won a Super Bowl, the Seahawks could stand to benefit the interior of their offensive line. Tengesdahl has experience at all three interior spots during his career and is a smooth mover with a strong base that can start from day one.

32. Los Angeles Rams - WR TJ Moore - Clemson

The Rams could move on from Davante Adams after this season and Moore would be a young, cost-effective alternative to plug-in. He possesses ideal size, with strong hands and the ability to attack the middle of the field.

2026 DAY 2 NFL MOCK DRAFT

A historic first night in Pittsburgh concluded with a new all-time round one attendance record that included 320,000 fans, topping the 275,000+ who attended in Detroit in 2024, per the NFL. The first day was full of wheeling and dealing with 16-of-32 draft slots being exchanged by the end.

2027 NFL DRAFT BIBLE QUARTERBACKS

With so much talent, a loaded quarterback class is sure to keep NFL scouts busy this Fall. It was a roller-coaster type season for Texas Longhorns golden arm Arch Manning, who had his fair share of ups and downs. However, a strong performance down the stretch has rejuvenated the belief that he still stands tall amongst the top signal-callers in the land.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore received plenty of hype a year ago, as he made the decision to return to Eugene for one more season to continue his development. Miami landed another future NFL quarterback in Darian Mensah, after his controversial transfer portal decision created somewhat of an uproar, while LSU imported Sam Leavitt from Arizona State.

Another signal-caller who landed in new digs is Brendan Sorsby, an ascending player who will suit up for Texas Tech. There is still plenty of untapped potential for South Carolina dual-threat LaNorris Sellers, who may possess the most upside of any prospect. Coming off a breakout season, North Carolina State strong-armed passer CJ Bailey has injected himself into first round consideration.

Meanwhile, quarterbacks such as Julian Sayin of Ohio State and Drew Mestemaker of Oklahoma State will be draft-eligible for the first time.

Breakdown: This year’s defensive line class took a step back from recent drafts, with only a handful of combined first-round prospects at defensive tackle and edge rusher. While the group still offers solid talent, the class is deeper at linebacker, secondary, receiver and offensive line—positions that are major needs for many teams. Each pick includes analysis of the team fit, a prospect evaluation and an NFL comparison based on traits.

Trade Talks: Recent trade activity between the Giants and Bengals appears to benefit the disgruntled former All-Pro defensive tackle most of all. Six NFL teams now hold two first-round picks, either through recent trades or deals made in prior seasons. Trade discussions are also intensifying in the top 10, with the Giants (5, 10), Cardinals (3), Chiefs (9), and Seahawks (32) viewed as prime trade-back candidates. Teams that could look to move up include Dallas (12), Detroit (17), Pittsburgh (21), and New England (31) holds 11 total picks for leverage. Still, there is usually one team willing to trade back into the first round for a quarterback, and Ty Simpson could be the second passer selected, with the Jets a potential suitor as they hold three 2027 first-round picks to leverage.

1. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Analysis: It’s been decades since the Raiders had an MVP-caliber quarterback, or even a legitimate Super Bowl contender, dating back to the Rich Gannon era. This offseason, Vegas made significant strides by signing center Tyler Linderbaum to a record-setting contract, bolstering their defensive front seven and retaining star edge rusher Max Crosby, despite his recent knee concerns. Under the oversight of minority owner Tom Brady, Raider Nation continues its quest for a franchise quarterback to ignite the Vegas Strip.

Evaluation: A redshirt junior who began his career at California (2022–24), the quarterback transferred to Indiana and led the Hoosiers to a perfect 16–0 season, capturing the program’s first national championship and winning the Heisman Trophy. Mendoza most closely compares to a generational talent who won’t consistently light up the stat sheet, yet he still led all of FBS in passing touchdowns with 41. He showcases strong arm talent, particularly on layered throws and impressive toughness, routinely stepping up in the pocket to deliver accurate passes even after taking big hits. Areas for improvement include refining his pocket footwork, reducing hold times, and leveraging his athleticism to extend plays more quickly at the next level. Still, his competitive will and ability to execute game plans shine brightest in big moments, as evidenced by his performances against Penn State, Ohio State and throughout the College Football Playoff. | NFL Comparison: Trevor Lawrence

2. NEW YORK JETS

LB Arvell Reese - Ohio State: 6041 | 241 | 0948 | 3248 | Jr | 4.46 | Cleveland, OH

Analysis: The New York Jets were active at the 2025 trade deadline. They traded All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Colts for two first-round picks, then sent interior defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. To further strengthen the defensive line, they acquired T’Vondre Sweat from the Titans in exchange for Jermaine Johnson during NFL Combine week. This move, paired with 2023 first-round edge rusher Will McDonald IV, signals a clear effort to rebuild the interior defensive unit from the inside out.

Evaluation: Reese thrived in defensive coordinator Matt Patricia’s multi-alignment scheme, showing versatility to play off the ball or on the edge. He displays strong leverage, a firm base in run fits, core strength, and explosive twitch off the snap. On the edge, he possesses a quick get-off and heavy hands to establish immediate separation, though he needs to improve his pursuit angles, as he sometimes under-compensates. Despite playing behind 2025 fourth-round pick Jack Sawyer, Reese showed a strong nose for the football, excellent play recognition and the ability to drop into shallow to intermediate coverage with range and disguise. 3. ARIZONA CARDINALS

Analysis: The Arizona Cardinals are rebuilding for the 2026 season after hiring head coach Mike LaFleur and parting ways with 2019 first overall pick Kyler Murray. With veteran bridge quarterback Jacoby Brissett retained for mentorship, the franchise is focused on strengthening the offensive line around 2023 first-round left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., who has locked down the position.

Evaluation: Mauigoa is a natural fit at right tackle with mauler instincts and a wide, thick frame. A three-time All-ACC selection, he earned first-team All-American honors in 2025. He displays strong footwork, smooth weight transitions in space, powerful leg drive and a vice-grip latch to swallow defenders. A polished pass protector who understands assignments and adjustments, Mauigoa also offers swing-tackle versatility. 4. TENNESSEE TITANS

Analysis: The Tennessee Titans are entering the 2026 season under new head coach Robert Saleh. After selecting quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and addressing defensive needs in free agency—including adding receiver Wan’Dale Robinson—the franchise still faces major offensive concerns. Despite recent investments in the offensive line, the Titans ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing yards in 2025. With an aging Tony Pollard and little depth behind him, drafting a running back early is a no-brainer to ease the pressure on Ward in his second season.

Evaluation: A Heisman Trophy finalist, Doak Walker Award winner and unanimous All-American as a junior in 2025, Love was the face of the Fighting Irish last season. He displays clear MVP traits on film with twitchy cuts, explosive bursts in any direction, and a relentless forward lean to finish runs effectively. At 212 pounds, he combines impressive long speed backed behind game film and makeup in Indianapolis. A true workhorse back with three-down capabilities, Love also offers reliable hands and ball tracking ability as a receiver, particularly on wheel routes. | NFL Comparison: Adrian Peterson

5. NEW YORK GIANTS

CB Mansoor Delane - LSU: 5116 | 187 | 0878 | 3000 | Sr | 4.35 | Silver Spring, MD

Analysis: The New York Giants have built a stout defensive unit in recent seasons, ranking in the top five against the run while sitting in the middle of the pack in pass defense. Despite selecting potential elite edge rusher Abdul Carter third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and establishing quality safeties, the Giants are focused on strengthening their perimeter. With the recent trade of former All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence leaving a major void, the Giants reload with a foundational piece for every level of the defense.

Evaluation: A productive two-year starter at Virginia Tech, Delane transferred to LSU for his senior season and earned unanimous All-American honors in 2025 while nearly matching his ACC production. Despite his lanky frame, he possesses strong core strength, physicality against the run, and solid blitz ability. The Jim Thorpe Award finalist showcases twitchy reactions, sticky coverage and ball-hawking instincts with 11 pass breakups, giving him versatility to play both in the slot and on the boundary. | NFL Comparison: Trent McDuffie

6. CLEVELAND BROWNS

WR Carnell Tate - Ohio State: 6022 | 192 | 1018 | 3138 | Jr | 4.53 | Chicago, IL

Analysis: The Cleveland Browns’ defense has been the cornerstone of the franchise in recent years, but the offense struggled badly in 2025, ranking 30th in yards per game and near the bottom in most major offensive categories. Third-round tight end Harold Fannin Jr. led the team in receiving, yet the wide receiver room remains unsettled despite the presence of aging veteran Jerry Jeudy. With uncertainty at quarterback between last year’s high-profile fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders and disappointing veteran Deshaun Watson, the front office must prioritize adding weapons around whoever starts under center.

Evaluation: A first-team All-Big Ten and second-team All-American in 2025, Tate posted strong production while playing in the shadow of sophomore phenom Jeremiah Smith. Primarily an outside receiver, he shows a twitchy release off the line but needs to add strength to fight press coverage with his tall, lanky frame. Tate runs sharp in-breaking routes, particularly slants, and uses his length and exceptional catch radius to his advantage. He excels on crisp vertical routes, making him a potential deep threat and red-zone weapon, though he must improve his blocking fundamentals. 7. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Analysis: Two seasons ago, the Commanders reached the NFC Championship. In 2025, however, they finished in the bottom half of the league after battling multiple injuries, including to franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels. While they still need to upgrade offensive weapons outside of Terry McLaurin, their pass rush ranked in the middle of the pack (with a bottom-half pass rush win rate). The best player available is now on the table, and selecting one of the top edge prospects — David Bailey or Reuben Bain Jr. — would reinforce the front seven in the Nation’s Capital.

Evaluation: Bain Jr. is a high-motor, pure football player who creates constant havoc. He blends explosive speed-to-power with a twitchy first step and quick, heavy hands that compensate for average arm length, allowing him to breach the pocket in an instant. The 2025 ACC Defensive Player of the Year and first-team All-American has produced since his freshman season in 2023. He primarily relied on power moves en route to the national title game but showed impressive bend and flexibility at his recent pro day. Defensive mastermind Dan Quinn excels at deploying elite pass rushers. Bain projects as a top-ranked edge prospect who can thrive in Quinn’s 4-3 Under scheme as the “Leo” rusher. | NFL Comparison: Brandon Graham

8. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

S Caleb Downs - Ohio State: 5115 | 206 | 0948 | 3018 | Jr | 4.48e | Hoschton, GA

Analysis: The New Orleans Saints fielded a solid defense in 2025 but ranked below average in total offense. A late-season quarterback change sparked some improvement down the stretch. With a revamped offensive line built through recent drafts, the Saints should use their Day 2 picks to address offensive weapons and pull the trigger on best available to stack talent on a proven defensive unit.

Evaluation: Downs began his career at Alabama, becoming the first true freshman in Crimson Tide history to lead the team in tackles in 2023. He earned All-American honors in all three seasons, including unanimous selection after transferring to Ohio State (2024–25). A key contributor on the Buckeyes’ 2024 national championship team, Downs showcased versatility, physicality, and the ability to adapt across multiple alignments. He displays strong play recognition, aggressive run fits, and textbook tackling technique. He plays bigger than his size, flying around the field with elite blitz ability and ball-hawking instincts, making him a valuable chess piece in defensive game plans, and is the nephew of NFL veteran Dre Bly. | NFL Comparison: Earl Thomas

9. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Analysis: The Kansas City Chiefs missed the playoffs in 2025, first time since 2014 which was head coach Andy Reid’s second season following a long head coaching tenure in Philadelphia. With recent offensive line woes to address since the blowout loss to Philadelphia in Super Bowl LIX and directed towards a recent injury to their franchise quarterback, the historic organization needs to capitalize on a top ten pick for a potential franchise tackle to protect their franchise investment at quarterback. The Chiefs could kick 2025 first-round pick Josh Simmons to right tackle, allowing Kadyn Proctor to anchor immediately at left tackle.

Evaluation: Proctor burst onto the national stage in 2024, earning first-team All-American and All-SEC honors in 2025. He won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy and was a finalist for the Lombardi Award and a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy. At 366 pounds, he displays rare agility and a massive, wide frame that swallows pass rushers with smooth weight transitions. While he needs to improve his hand counters, Proctor showed impressive athleticism while blocking in space and recording five receptions for 16 yards in 2025 — highlighted by an 11-yard screen pass that took him down to the two-yard line. | NFL Comparison: Andrew Thomas

10. NEW YORK GIANTS (via Cincinnati)

LB Sonny Styles - Ohio State: 6050 | 244 | 1000 | 3278 | Sr | 4.46 | Pickerington, OH

Analysis: The Giants were unable to convince their franchise defensive tackle to withdraw his trade request, making the move understandable for Cincinnati. Now, replacing the former All-Pro is a priority, with early picks likely needed to reinforce every layer of the defense in a highly contested division.

Evaluation: At just 21 years old and a co-captain on Ohio State’s star-studded defense, Styles played in 55 career games with 41 starts. Originally recruited as a safety, he converted to linebacker in 2024 and earned All-Big Ten honors in all three seasons, culminating in first-team All-American recognition in 2025. A twitchy, athletic linebacker, Styles executes sound run fits with physical traits in form tackling, uses his length and strong hands to stack/shed blocks effectively, and navigates traffic well. He shows good range, ball skills, and the ability to bail quickly into coverage. While limited as a pass rusher, he moves fluidly around the box and projects best as an off-ball linebacker with hybrid versatility in the high slot. | NFL Comparison: Isaiah Simmons

11. MIAMI DOLPHINS

Analysis: Once boasting a high-octane offense and pulverizing defense just three seasons ago, the Miami Dolphins have dramatically regressed, triggering a full-scale rebuild that has also reshaped the front office. The team ranked in the bottom half of the league on both offense and defense in 2025. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley — both with proven winning pedigrees from historic franchises — are now tasked with rebuilding the culture and immediately implementing Hafley’s defensive standards.

Evaluation: Bailey graduated from Stanford in under four years before transferring to Texas Tech for his lone senior season in 2025. He led the Big 12 with 19.5 tackles for loss and tied for the national lead with 14.5 sacks. After modest production in his first three seasons at Stanford, he exploded as a unanimous All-American, earning Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year honors while finishing as a Lombardi Award finalist and Bednarik Award semifinalist. He finished second in Texas Tech history for single-season sacks. Bailey showed decent bend and strong power moves off the edge, complemented by heavy hands and an elite first step with good vertical speed. He is less explosive in change-of-direction situations and had modest production in the College Football Playoff against Oregon. | NFL Comparison: Bradley Chubb

12. DALLAS COWBOYS

Analysis: The Dallas Cowboys enter the 2026 NFL Draft with two first-round picks, including their own selection at No. 12 overall. After ranking at the bottom of the league against the pass in 2025 and abruptly releasing longtime starting cornerback Trevon Diggs late in the season, the Cowboys have a major hole in the secondary. They did add some help up front at the trade deadline, acquiring All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to pair with Kenny Clark and form a formidable interior duo.

Evaluation: McCoy’s draft stock has taken a hit after several teams medically flagged him for a degenerative knee condition. 2027 NFL DRAFT BIBLE RUNNING BACKS

Buckle up and brace for impact, in order to prepare for the 2027 running back class. This group features an abundance of bruisers who can bang it up the gut. Most notably, Miami feature back Mark Fletcher who carried the Hurricanes into the national championship with a valiant effort during the College Football Playoff.

For NFL teams in seek of a workhorse, no one carried the ball more than Kewan Lacy of Ole Miss a year ago. A gritty, hard-nosed runner, Lacy owns a knack for finding paydirt. Much of the same can be said for fellow SEC runner Ahmad Hardy of Missouri, who generates chunks of yardage after contact. Florida also has a thumper in 230-pound Jadan Baugh, who has popped onto the radar.

The vision and toughness of Texas Tech back Cameron Dickey was on full display last season, as he figures to be a focal point of the offense once again. In terms of overall physicality, that title may belong to LJ Martin of BYU, while the compact Justice Haynes transferred from Michigan, to Georgia Tech, as he seeks to replicate the mojo he had going prior to a late season-ending foot injury.

2027 NFL DRAFT BIBLE TIGHT ENDS

The NFL has seen an influx of impact tight ends enter the league in recent seasons but LSU prospect Trey’Dez Green might be the best we have seen this decade. A physical, athletic target who boasts a huge catch radius, Green has been utilized inline, in the slot and even out wide, a testament to his pass-catch ability, while showcasing his strength to steamroll opponents after the catch.

There is much hype surrounding Jamari Johnson who many believe will be viewed as a greater commodity than Ducks first round selection Kenyon Sadiq. Meanwhile, towering tight ends Benjamin Brahmer and Gabe Burkle of Penn State followed their head coach Matt Campbell over from Iowa State. Brahmer possesses terrifc size, is a capable pass-catcher and stout blocker,making him one of the more polished overall players at the position. His counterpart, Burkle, is known more for his blocking prowess and specializes as an inline option.

Some under the radar players of note to keep an eye on are Peter Clarke of Temple, Chris Corbo who transferred from Dartmouth, to Georgia Tech and All-American FCS tight end Ryder Kurtz of Cornell.

2027 NFL DRAFT BIBLE OFFENSIVE TACKLES

Underclassmen rule the roast at offensive tackle. Many believed that Texas left tackle Trevor Goosby would have been a first round selection had he entered the 2026 NFL Draft. Another year to develop in Austin, protecting the blindside for quarterback Arch Manning should only enhance his draft stock, as the Longhorns are geared towards a national championship run.

Another top player who hails from Austin would be Blake Frazier of Michigan who bypassed Texas and instead followed in the footsteps of his father Steve Frazier, a member of the Wolverines 1997 national championship team. A tenacious pass-protecter with exceptional footwork and athleticism, Frazier has bulked up for this season.

A fundamentally sound prospect and team leader, Trevor Lauck of Iowa is a pure technician with outstanding body balance, who is viewed as an instant plug-and-play starter at the next level. LSU import Jordan Seaton remains one to watch, as he was extremely critical during his departure at Colorado and was highly touted coming out of high school.

It should also be noted that Indiana endured a blow to Carter Smith during spring ball, as he suffered a torn labrum and is on the mend heading into the season.

The 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh has nearly arrived. Buckle up and hunker down for what should be a topsy-turvy first round. Here is the final round one projection from NFL DraftBible publisher Ric Serritella.

2026 NFL DRAFT BIBLE: QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | OG | LB | CB | S | ST

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana – The Raiders, led by Tom Brady and company, have spent their entire offseason building around Mendoza, adding new offensive mastermind head coach Klint Kubiak, quarterback whisperer Mike Sullivan, veteran backup Kirk Cousins and Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum. The infrastructure around the new franchise signal-caller has been built for success.

2. New York Jets: Arvell Reese, LB, New York Jets – New York head coach Aaron Glenn has stated that he would like for the defense to have more flexibility in their alignments. The selection of Reese would be conducive to a more hybrid scheme, enabling the team to take advantage of his multi-faceted skill-set.

3. Arizona Cardinals: David Bailey, ER, Texas Tech – Additional pass-rush help is one of many glaring needs for the Cardinals and Bailey presents an excellent bookend partner to pair opposite of last year’s prized offseason acquisition Josh Sweat. It’s also very possible that Arizona could have several trade suitors for his services.

4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiah Love, RB, Notre Dame – Since the departure of Derrick Henry, the Titans have had difficulty finding productivity and durability from the running back position. The backfield combination of franchise quarterback Cam Word and Love, a true workhorse, could become one of the best in the NFL for many years to come. A three-down back, it’s time to hop aboard the Tennessee Love train.

5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State – Arguably the top overall talent in the draft, Downs is a cornerstone type prospect who can line up at either safety spot and would be a coup for the Giants. New head coach John Harbaugh is looking to change the culture of the organization and Downs brings NFL bloodlines, high football intelligence and a pro-ready level of maturity to build around.

6. [PROJECTED TRADE] Kansas City Chiefs (via Browns): Reuben Bain, ER, Miami – Plenty of teams will be seeking to add an edge rusher and Bain might be the best of the bunch. Despite the criticism of his short arms, he possesses a non-stop motor, with elite bend and power, generating tremendous lower body strength, while controlling his opponents with violent hands.

7. Washington Commanders: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State – A new quarterback of the defense for head coach Dan Quinn, the cerebral Styles has made tremendous strides since converting from safety and is an ascending prospect who is poised to make an immediate impact. His lateral coverage, aggressiveness, physicality, situational pass-rush ability and pass coverage makes him a blue-chip talent.

8. New Orleans Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State – Sometimes the smoke catches fire and talks have heated up that New Orleans could gamble on the upside of Tyson, who brings ultimate big-play ability but does come with an injury background that extends over multiple seasons. However, the tandem of Chris Olave and Tyson could be just what the doctor ordered for quarterback Tyler Shough.

9. [PROJECTED TRADE] Cleveland Browns (via Chiefs): Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami – After a trade down with Kansas City, the Browns still land Mauigoa, who is considered to be the premier offensive tackle prospect in the draft. A recent report indicated that Mauigoa has a herniated disk in his back but there have been no indications that it is expected to impact his draft stock as of this post.

10. New York Giants (via Bengals): Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State – No organization wants to part ways with an All-Pro talent such as Dexter Lawrence but weeding out the bad apples was a must. Acquiring this pick from the Bengals enables the Giants to assemble a dynamic duo of Malik Nabers and Tate, which would be highly beneficial for the development of quarterback Jaxson Dart.

11. Miami Dolphins: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah – New starting quarterback Malik Willis will need added protection and the plug-and-play talent of Fano would provide him with much needed security. The quick, athletic Fano specializes in run blocking and could compete for a starting tackle position, or possibly even begin his pro career inside at guard.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU – With a run on the premium positions up top, Delane falls into the laps of Dallas, who desperately needs to shore up their secondary. His press-man coverage and speed would fit perfectly into their defensive scheme and can provide long-term stability alongside starter Trevon Diggs.

13. Los Angeles Rams (via Falcons): Makai Lemon, WR, USC – Look for the Rams to capitalize on the small window of opportunity surrounding quarterback Matthew Stafford. By injecting Lemon into the mix with All Pro stars such as Puka Nacua and Davante Adams could make for the most terrifying trio of wideouts in the league.

14. Baltimore Ravens: Olaivavega Ioane, OG, Penn State – The DNA makeup of Ioane seems tailor-made for the Ravens organization and addresses a major need up front. Arguably one of the top talents in the draft, landing the Penn State mauler here would be an ultimate value selection, as he figures to be a linchpin for the next decade-plus.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Keldric Faulk, ER, Auburn – With pass-rush help needed, Faulk offers the ability to get after the quarterback but also does a nice job of setting the edge against the run, which should fit in well into the Todd Bowles-led defense.

16. New York Jets (via Colts): Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana – A fast-riser leading up to April, Cooper provides some much needed ammunition on offense with his ability to stretch the field and gives the Jets a bonafide number two target opposite of Garrett Wilson, as they continue to bild towards the future.

17. Detroit Lions: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia – Lions head coach Dan Campbell has stated his desire to switch Penei Sewell from right tackle, to left tackle, paving the way for Freeling to occupy the right side, which would be better-suited for the still developing one-year starter out of Athens.

18. Minnesota Vikings: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo – All indications are that the Vikings have been sniffing around safeties and McNeil-Warren figures to be an immediate impact factor due to his ball-hawk tendencies and ability to crash the line of scrimmage.

19. Carolina Panthers: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon – The safety group has not been vastly hyped leading up to the draft but Thieneman would make it three in the first round, a feat that hasn’t happened since the 2017 draft. A highly athletic safety, Thisneman can stuff the run at an efficient rate.

20. Dallas Cowboys (via Packers): Cashius Howell, ER, Texas A&M – The quest for a Cowboys edge rusher lands at Howell, who projects as a standup linebacker due to his lack of length. However, he displays one of the quickest first steps, along with major explosiveness, making him a situational mismatch.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama – The concern surrounding Proctor is his fluctuating weight, which has ballooned up to 390 pounds at times but he moves extraordinary well for a big man and presents inside/outside flexibility with his ability to play tackle or guard.

22. Los Angeles Chargers: TJ Parker, ER, Clemson – It has been widely rumored within league circles that the Chargers could be looking to move up to address their edge rusher need. Should they not find a trade partner, they could wind up landing Parker if they stay put. Not a bad consolation prize, as Parker brings size, pedigree and athleticism.

23. Philadelphia Eagles: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington – All signs indicate that wide receiver AJ Brown will eventually be dealt to Patriots post-June 1st. Adding another big-bodied wideout in Boston to fill the projected void seems logical, as the Eagles have already stockpiled veteran wideouts in anticipation of the exchange.

24. [PROJECTED TRADE] Arizona Cardinals (via Browns from Jaguars): Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama – With starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett current demands for a pay raise coming off a season in which he went 1-11 as the starter, Arizona would be wise to consider an alternate option such as Simpson, who lacks experience but oozes potential.

25. Chicago Bears: Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech – Master of the ‘Peanut Punch,’ the Red Raiders turnover machine has been working with Charles Tillman during the draft process and Rodriguez would give the Bears an excellent playmaker in the middle of their defense.

26. Buffalo Bills: Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State – Plugging in McDonald along the defensive line for Buffalo would allow them to feature a mix-and-match rotation with Ed Oliver and last year’s rookie sensation Deone Walker. The Buckeyes bust-out prospect is considered a premier run defender.

27. San Francisco 49ers: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah – It could turn into a bit of a waiting game for the 49ers, who are desperately looking to address their offensive line. Lomu is an ascending, mobile blocker who could be immediately be plugged into the right tackle spot.

28. Houston Texans: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State – A native of Nigeria, Iheanachor has one of the more interesting back stories, moving to the United States at the age of 13 as a soccer player and did not begin playing organized football until he reached junior college at East Los Angeles at the age of 21 years old, the ceiling is sky high.

29. Kansas City Chiefs (via Rams): Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon – No one is able to adapt and adjust an offensive scheme better than Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. With offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy back in town, Kansas City can get creative with two-tight end sets before Travis Kelce eventually passes the torch to Sadiq.

30. Miami Dolphins (via Broncos): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee – The latest buzz leading up to the draft is that McCoy is in danger of sliding due to the possibility of needing another surgery on his torn ACL suffered 16 months ago. The Dolphins roll the dice here and bet on the upside.

31. New England Patriots: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson – Sure, Miller would certainly fit a need for New England. However, with an imminent trade involving Philadelphia wideout AJ Brown inevitable, the Patriots could be selecting for the Eagles in a trade that would be completed post-June 1st due to salary cap ramifications.

32. Seattle Seahawks: Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame – The defection of Kenneth Walker to the division-rival Chiefs, along with the durability concerns surrounding Zach Charbonnet and the current lack of depth makes running back a sudden urgent need for Seattle. The Super Bowl Champs can afford to over-reach for Price in this spot and plug their biggest hole.

2027 NFL DRAFT BIBLE GUARDS

Hunker down for some trench warfare. There may not be a bigger mauler in the land than Cade McConnell of Vanderbilt. A big, thick bruiser with violent hands, McConnell is a people-mover who also has experience at tackle and center. Another prospect with inside/outside versatility is long-armed Cayden Green of Missouri, blending functional strength and agility, along with quick feet.

The country-strong Kade Pieper gained muscle growing up on his parent’s farm, as he owns rare lateral movement, enabling him to climb to the second level, or pull down the line with ease. Intriguing Virginia left tackle McKale Boley is viewed more as a guard at the next level due to his lack of length, which makes for one of the more complicated evaluations.

One player outside of the ‘Power-Four’ that stands out is Alex Birchmeier of Liberty. The Penn State transfer flashes intense tenacity and was a two-time state champion wrestler in high school.

He battled through a torn rotator cuff for most of last season, which required surgery after the year, a testament to his toughnes. Sanders has also managed to overcome various mental health problems, while maintaining a high level of play performance.
