REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE

2025 NFLPA GRADES || OVERALL RANKINGS (12 of 32)

The Raiders ranked fourth in the league with players showing support for owner Mark Davis. They also cited the strong sense of being part of the Raiders’ “family”. Overall, the Raiders ranked in the top 10 in every category other than head coach, with the arrival of new head coach in Pete Carroll, that ranking should see a change.

OVERVIEW

It’s another hit of the reset button for Las Vegas, as they have begun to gut the roster, weeding out players who didn’t fit into the new plans, while starting the process of adding ‘their guys,’ through the draft with 11 total picks. The offense will look entirely different with the backfield duo of Geno Smith (photo: Las Vegas Raiders) and Ashton Jeanty, along with new weapons for the aerial attack in Jack Bech and Donte Thornton. They will be sure to take some lumps this year in the West but they’ll be better for it in the long run.

BUST OUT PLAYERS

After suffering through porous quarterback play the past two seasons, wideout Tre Tucker (photo:Las Vegas Raiders) is in line to see more targets in 2025 with the arrival of Geno Smith. While Tucker has been dubbed somewhat of a one-trick pony due to the reliance upon his rocket-like speed, the Raiders organization has had a storied history of such players. There is sure to be plenty of pitch-and-catch between Smith and Tucker in ‘25 … The grit and toughness of Jackson Powers-Johnson was on full display last season. After an injury-laden training camp caused him to stumble out of the gates, JMJ was called into action at both guard and center, playing exceptionally well once given an opportunity. He is expected to become the full-time starter at center after Andre James (Chargers) was released in the offseason … Las Vegas has excelled in finding Day 3 cornerbacks. The duo of fourth round picks Decamerion Richardson (2024 NFL Draft) and Jakorian Bennett (2023 NFL Draft) provided a much-needed boost in the secondary and their development is a key reason why the Raiders enter training camp with much optimism surrounding the backend of the defense.

2025 NFL DRAFT CLASS

ROUND | PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | POSITION | SCHOOL

Rd.1 No.6. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State — There was obviously a huge void that was never filled when Josh Jacobs (Packers) departed for greener pastures two years ago. Now, Jeanty assumes the workhorse role and you can be assured that Pete Carroll will lean in the rookie in 2025. (photo: Las Vegas Raiders)

Rd.2 No.58. Jack Bech, WR, TCU — A true gamer, Bech shines under the bright lights and is a big, physical wideout who thrives in contested catch situations. Look for him to immediately carve out a role on the Raiders offense and it would’t be too far-fetched to believe that he could lead the team in receiving.

Rd.3 No.68. Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State — Viewed more as a developmental prospect, Porter converted over from wide receiver and is still learning the nuances of the position. However, he possess rare length and speed.

Rd.3 No.98. Caleb Rogers, OG, Texas Tech — An agile, versatile lineman, Rogers projects as a guard for the Raiders but can also step outside, if needed. He should compete for a key role early, as the offensive line needs reinforcement.

Rd.3 No.99. Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary — The tenacity that Grant displays certainly fits the Raiders image. He will likely begin at tackle but does have some size and length shortcomings, so kicking inside also remains a possibility.

Rd.4 No.108. Donte Thornton, WR, Tennessee — Look for Thornton to be the ‘X-factor’ of this class. Once again, Las Vegas banked on size and athleticism traits with Thornton who could emerge as a touchdown maker for the Silver and Black.

Rd.4 No.135. Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina — A seasoned interior player, Hemingway can slide up and down the defensive line and excels in stuffing the run.

Rd.6 No.180. JJ Pegues, DT, Ole Miss — One of the more exciting players in the draft, Pegues plays on defense and offense, which could make for some additional new entertainment along the Las Vegas Boulevard.

Rd.6 No.213. Tommy Mellott, WR, Montana State — A highly successful collegiate quarterback, Mellott is considered tiny, hence he will attempt to switch to wide receiver as a slot weapon.

Rd.6 No.215. Cam Miller, QB, North Dakota State — The new front office didn’t shy away from small school products. Miller has been a proven winner for the Bison, primarily operating an RPO-orientated offense.

Rd.7 No.222. Cody Lindenberg, LB, Minneota — An intelligent, overachieving off-ball linebacker who plays with a high motor, Lindenberg will have to earn his keep via special teams.
