Breakout Players
RB Keaton Mitchell - Was there a more surprising rookie than the undrafted Mitchell who exploded for 138 rushing yards in his first game action of the year. The ravens running back carousel features free agent acquisition Derrick Henry as the front man but he is 30 years old and has accumulated nearly 2,200 touches in his career. Whether it be to give Henry a blow on occasion, or needed to step in as a stop-gap should injury arise, Mitchell will be called upon to play a critical role.
WR Zay Flowers - After being targeted 108 times as a rookie, first round pick Flowers is expected to build upon his 858-yard rookie campaign. The addition of rookie Devontez Walker should benefit, while the departure of Odell Beckham Jr makes Flowers the clear cut No.1.
DT Travis Jones - Baltimore features plenty of beef up front on defense but Jones was their most improved defensive lineman by the end of the year. If he can carry that momentum into this season, hopefully it’ll result in more consistency for one of the Ravens’ key backups.
2024 NFL Draft Class
Watch out the dice are hot! GM Eric DeCosta seems to sense an urgency on this Ravens window with Lamar Jackson entering his prime. In somewhat of uncharacteristic fashion, Baltimore took a gamble on prospects such as Nate Wiggins (small frame), Roger Rosengarten (raw), Devontez Walker (drops), TJ Tampa (speed) and Rasheen Ali (injury). However, each player comes with immense upside! Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: Medium Level Impact
