Breakout Players
WR Tank Dell - One of the most explosive young slot threats in the league, Dell was off to a riveting rookie start with 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns before a season-ending left leg injury in Week 13 abruptly ended his year. Houston has the potential to have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL with their shrewd trade for Stefon Diggs. Much of their success will also depend on the durability of Dell.
LB Christian Harris - Entering his third season, Harris has emerged as one of the team leaders on defense. Houston is hoping he can take the next step in his development and a Pro Bowl could be in his future.
LB Henry To’oTo’o - The Texans may have struck gold in last year’s fifth round selection. Houston has done very well finding Day 3 contributors under the supervision of Nick Caserio and To’oTo’o is just one of many. He found himself in the mix quite a bit with 61 tackles, one forced fumble, a fumble recovery and started six games. Don’t be surprised to see him win a starting job out of training camp.
2024 NFL Draft Class
The Texans accomplished their goal of getting younger and deeper in the secondary, utilizing two of their first three picks on cornerback Kamari Lassiter and safety Calen Bullock. Adding offensive tackle Blake Fisher was wise as injuries have bitten Houston along the offensive line. Tight end Cade Stover is a great compliment Dalton Schultz.
