Breakout Players
TE Jelani Woods - A bustout campaign would seem to be in store for Woods. The lengthy pass-catcher is built like a power forward and has a vertical game that could make him an expansive red zone weapon.
DT Eric Johnson - Keep an eye on Johnson, the third-year backup who hails from a small school pedigree. The Missouri State product has flashed potential to be a valuable rotational player and could see his snap count increase significantly.
CB Dallis Flowers / CB Jaylon Jones - One training camp battle to keep an eye on is at cornerback where a pair of second-year corners in Flowers and Jones both of whom bring tremendous upside, along with starting experience in what figures to be a heated competition.
S Nick Cross - After making a name for himself as a rookie on special teams, Cross answered the bell when called upon in year two. He was thrust into action at safety due to injury and proved to be more than formidable. Cross seems destined for a bigger role on defense.
2024 NFL Draft Class
Team brass believes they landed the best defensive player in the draft with the selection of Dallas Turner at No.15, a great value! The big-bodied Adonai Mitchell provides upside out wide on offense, while slot/return extraordinaire Anthony Gould might be the most electrifying player in the draft. Excellent value was had on Day 3 with fancy footwork center Tanor Bortolini and ball-hawk safety Jaylin Simpson. Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: High Level Impact
