Breakout Players
WR Parker Washington - It’s a crowded wide receiver room but Washington oozes potential with his blazing speed and ability to cut on a dime. He’ll need to earn the trust of Trevor Lawrence after an up-and-down first season.
LB Chad Muma - It was hard to find Muma on the field during his second season, a stark contrast to his rookie year, where he made a handful of starts. He could still be a valuable cog if opportunity presents itself; Muma is hands down one of the most athletic linebackers in the entire league.
S Antonio Johnson - The rangy Johnson was one of the true steals of the 2023 NFL Draft. Just as he demonstrated at Texas A&M, the fifth round pick showed the propensity for creating turnovers with two interceptions, one forced fumble and a sack, to go along with 17 tackles in limited time. Don’t be surprised to see Johnson wind up as one of the starting safeties in Week 1.
2024 NFL Draft Class
The Jaguars took care of business early on with first round selection Brian Thomas Jr. at wideout. Afterwards, it was all about adding massive depth to the defensive line with LSU teammates Maason Smith in the second and Jordan Jefferson in the fourth, along with Myles Cole in the third. Jacksonville found good value in the mid rounds with nickel back Jarrion Jones and offensive tackle Javon Foster. Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: High Level Impact
