Breakout Players
RB De’Von Achane - A healthy Achane adds an additional element of speed from the backfield position in the Dolphins pedal to the medal offense. He started just four games as a rookie, yet still managed to fall just three yards shy of 1,000 total scrimmage yards, including 800 rushing yards and an eye-gouging 7.8 yards per carry! Achane saw just 300 snaps (43% of total offensive plays). The more Miami can increase that number, the more dangerous they will become.
WR Anthony Schwartz - After two lackluster seasons in Cleveland, the Dolphins took a flier on Schwartz, a one-time third round pick. If anyone is able to squeeze any production from the 4.27-speed wideout, it’s head coach Mike McDaniels.
CB Kader Kohou - One of the most underrated players in the NFL, Kohou is bound to become well-known amongst the mainstream after doing an admirable job during his first two seasons. The Ivory Coast native was an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M Commerce following the 2022 NFL Draft. Since then, Kohou has started 29 games, making 135 tackles. His ascension has strengthened the Dolphins secondary.
2024 NFL Draft Class
The biggest steal of the entire draft class may have came when the Dolphins chose Malik Washington with the 184th overall pick. His skill-set is a perfect match for the Miami offense. Ironically, seventh round selection Tahj Washington is very similar, just not as twitchy. The ‘Fins also made a splash on the edge, adding pass-rushers Chop Robinson on Day 1 and Mohamed Kamara on Day 2. Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: High Level Impact
