Breakout Players
WR Jalin Hyatt - While all the fanfare and attention will be directed towards new kid on the block Malik Nabers, it’s a make-or-break year for Jalin Hyatt whom the Giants struggled to find a consistent role in the offense during year one. He'll have plenty of one-on-one isolation matchups to take advantage of his game-breaking speed and height advantage. The bigger question may be, can they keep a quarterback healthy long enough to get him the ball?
DE Kayvon Thibodeaux - The Giants have stockpiled some nice young building blocks on defense, the biggest one being Thibodeaux, a former first round pick who is still learning on the fly. When he finally figures it all out, it’s quite possible that he develops into one of the elite pass-rushers in the NFL.
LB Micah McFaden - A fifth round find from the ‘22 draft, McFaden was a staple of consistency last season, making 101 tackles, including 12 tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries. That level of play could earn him Pro Bowl status in ‘24.
2024 NFL Draft Class
New York landed a bonafide weapon for Daniel Jones with the selection of Mallik Nabers. More ammunition was added on Day 3, as Theo Johnsonlooks to help fill the void at tight end created by the retirement of Darren Waller and Tyrone Tracy Jr. owns a multi-dimensional skill-set to make a significant impact as a rookie runner, receiver, or returner. The Giants nailed it in round two with ball-hawk safety Tyler Nubin. Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: High Level Impact
