Breakout Players
RB Zach Charbonnet - No one has accumulated more young talent than the Seahawks over the past few drafts. Seattle didn’t have to call on their bruising back too often during his first season due to the stupendous play of Kenneth Walker III.
OL Unit - The effective ground game is fueled by a revamped offensive line that features four starters that were all chosen within the last two years of the draft. They are left tackle Charles Cross, center Olu Oluwatimi, right guard Antonhy Bradford and right tackle Abraham Lucas.
LB Boye Mafe - The Seahawks edge rusher tripled his sack output last year, finishing with nine. The addition of space-eater Jonathan Hankins in free agency and uber-athletic Byron Murphy III via the draft, figures to re-make the middle of the defensive line. Indeed, there’s a strong chance that Mafe could catapult himself near the top of the sackmaster leaderboard in ‘24.
2024 NFL Draft Class
Securing two projected starters in the trenches on each side of the ball was key for John Schneider, as he landed defensive tackle Brandon Murphy II in round one and UConn mauler Christian Haynes in round two. The Auburn cornerback duo of Nhemiah Pritchett and DJ James will be one of the more exciting storylines to follow throughout the season. This is a fantastic, young secondary unit.
