Breakout Players
RB Rachaad White - The Buccaneers own a great nucleus of young prospects. Most notably White , who is expected to assume bell-cow duties. White more than doubled his rushing total last season, falling 10 yards shy of the 1,000-yard barrier. He also added 549 receiving yards out of the backfield. It’s reasonable to believe that White could be amongst the league leaders in rushing this season.
WR Trey Palmer - A banged up wideout corps resulted in the sixth round pick starting in eight games last season, more than was to be expected. Palmer proved to be a capable possession receiver and safety valve for quarterback Baker Mayfield and his role should continue to increase in year two.
DE Logan Hall - It hasn’t been all sunshine for Hall, who often receives the brunt of criticism from the local fan base. However, there are few players that team brass is more excited about. While he has yet to live up to the second round draft status, Hall has shown flashes of becoming a dominant force entering year three.
CB Zyon McCollum - A fifth round selection, McCollum has outplayed his draft spot by appearing in all 17 games as a rookie, including nine starts. He projects as one of the Bucs starting cornerbacks for ‘24.
2024 NFL Draft Class
A plug-and-play starter at center, Graham Barton owns All Pro upside. Look for second round pick Chris Braswell to be utilized in a situational pass-rush capacity, while third round pick Jalen McMillan can stretch the field on offense. The Buccaneers final day was rather lackluster, don’t expect much contributions from the backend of this draft class. Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: Low Level Impact
Rd.1 No.26 - C Graham Barton, Duke
Rd.2 No.57 - LB Chris Braswell, Alabama
Rd.3 No.89 - S Tykee Smith, Georgia
