Breakout Players
RB Tyjae Spears - There has been much ado made about the arrival of the Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard who signed during the offseason after back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in Dallas. Lost in the hoopla is the role that Spears is expected to have in his second season. A similar style player as Pollard, at this stage of his career Spears is the more spry runner. Don’t be shocked if Spears emerges as the more impactful player, despite the big dollars shelled out to Pollard
WR Treylon Burks - An offense in dire need of playmakers, Tennessee is hoping this is the season that the former first round pick is able to stay healthy. With the addition of Calvin Ridley during the offseason, Burks won’t be depended upon so heavily but if he is able to develop a healthy rapport with Will Levis, it will make the offense more potent.
LB Jack Gibbens - After signing with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Abilene Christian, Gibbens starred primarily on special teams. He took a huge leap in year two, racking up 95 tackles and is slated to start at one of the linebacker spots.
2024 NFL Draft Class
Was offensive tackle JC Latham ranked that high on any other draft board? We may never know but that seemed to be a bit too rich at No.7 overall. No doubt he’ll add girth and toughness, just like second round pick T’Vondre Sweat who enters the league clouded with a legal matter. The best of the litter on Day 3 would be linebacker Cedric Gray who can cover lots of ground sideline-to-sideline.Initial Overall Rookie Assessment: Medium Level Impact
