AAF 2026 FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIE RANKINGS

Welcome to the May 4, 2026 edition of the All Access Football Newsletter.

In today’s report, we help you prepare for your fantasy football leagues. Whether you participate in dynasty, or re-draft leagues, knowing which incoming rookie players could make an impact is one way to gain an edge up on the competition.

While first-year quarterbacks are not usually expected to emerge as integral fantasy contributors, several rookie running backs do stand a strong chance to win over a starting role and be highly productive. A boisterous group of wideouts appear ready to take the league by storm and may become fantasy factors for years to come. However, if we learned anything from last year, don’t underestimate the value of the first-year tight ends, as this has a chance to be a special group once again.

The preliminary rankings below provide a baseline for expectations and scheme fits. Be sure to monitor the progress of players throughout offseason minicamps and especially into training camp. Other factors that can alter player value includes player health and roster depth. For more insight and analysis on the upcoming rookie class, be sure to watch the most recent episode of the AAF Draft Watch Show.

As we transition from our 2026 NFL Draft wrap-up coverage and rev into the 2027 draft cycle, you will begin to see new ‘Power Four’ prospect tracker team pages for each school, along with our first wave of scouting reports for next year’s class and all the latest buzz, as we count you down towards ‘Destination DC.’

2026 FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIE RANKINGS: QUARTERBACKS

  1. Fernando Mendoza, Raiders – While there is much excitement about the new Silver and Black attack, expectations may need to be tamed with this supporting cast.

  2. Carson Beck, Cardinals – The Cardinals are hoping that Beck can provide long-term stability, as veteran Jacoby Brissett is a stop-gap at best.

  3. Cade Klubnik, Jets – With three first round selections in tow for the upcoming draft, the Jets will likely want to see what they have in Klubnik before they move on.

  4. Drew Allar, Steelers – Once a heralded prospect, injuries and inconsistencies caused Allar to slide in the draft but the tools have always been alluring.

  5. Ty Simpson, Rams – The landing spot for Simpson could not have been more ideal in terms of his overall development but he is not anticipated to see the field any time soon.

2026 FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIE RANKINGS: RUNNING BACKS

  1. Jeremiyah Love, Cardinals – The Cardinals have changed the identity of their offense, which now revolves around the complete skill-set of Love. (pictured)
