ALL ACCESS FOOTBALL REPORT: ON LOCATION — 80TH HULA BOWL
Welcome to the January 7, 2026 edition of the World Famous All Access Football Report, read by 50,000+ subscribers from 75 countries and all 32 NFL teams.
In this edition of the All Access Football Newsletter, we bring you exclusive on location coverage of the 80th Altrua HealthShare Hula Bowl in Daytona, Florida.
Over 100 players are in attendance for the first all-star game of the circuit and is well-attended by pro scouts with multiple representatives from just about every NFL team. Upon their arrival on Monday, players were measured and weighed by BLESTO [Official Weigh-In Measurements Here].
On Tuesday, players participated in the first practice of the week. There were some late equipment arrivals, so day one featured limited one-on-ones but the players will resume padded practice on Wednesday. Our Hula Bowl Day One Practice Report video is below.
Also inside, we have posted interviews with some of the most popular players to make the rounds during NFL team interviews, including the fastest man in Daytona, speedster Desmond Reid of Pittsburgh, who is one of the most potent return men in this year’s draft class.
We also spoke with one of the more accomplished signal-callers in attendance, as Mississippi State quarterback Blake Shapen spoke to us about working with the Jay Gruden and Jon Gruden, who are the two head coaches for the event. One player who has stood out early on is savvy Kansas offensive tackle Tommy Dunn, who owns a strong frame, sound mechanics and versatility.
Amidst some negative pushback via social media, Altrua HealthShare Hula Bowl executive director Todd Worley joined Scouting The League Podcast to address the rumors and innuendo.
