Five To Watch: Oklahoma Sooners
#81 Austin Stogner, TE, 6056, 255, 4.74, rSr, Rd6 | Call it a love / hate relationship with Stogner who transferred to South Carolina last year before returning back to Norman—where he instantly become a team leader. His combination of size, pass-catching ability and coming up big in the clutch is what makes him draftable.
#3 Jalil Farooq, WR, 6010, 205, 4.50, Jr, Rd7 | Known as a notorious hard-worker, Farooq brings an intense practice demeanor which carries over into games. An all-purpose weapon with excellent size and crisp route running ability, he does most of his damage after the catch; has significantly increased his draft stock.
#12 Key Lawrence, FS, 6006, 205, 4.50, Sr, PFA | The senior safety is enjoying a career year, as coaches have attributed his success to a renewed level of confidence and leadership. Lawrence appears to be playing much more natural due to less thinking and being comfortable in one of the nation’s top defenses.
#5 Andrel Anthony, WR, 6010, 192, 4.44, Jr, PFA | Another emerging target for the Sooners, Anthony has shown improved footwork and lateral quickness. The speedster has the uncanny ability to make the acrobatic catch look easy with tremendous body control and focus.
#71 McKade Mettauer, OG, 6036, 311, 5.25, rSr, PFA | Currently under the radar, Mount Mettauer brings great size, technique and experience. He’s on target to finish with over 50 starts between his career at California and Oklahoma. A protégé of Eagles All-Pro Lane Johnson, he spent all summer working out in his garage.

Five To Watch: Texas Longhorns
#5 Adonai Mitchell, WR, 6036, 200, 4.52, Jr, Rd2 | Working his way up draft boards faster than a speeding bullet, Mitchell boasts impressive size and physicality—he thrives playing above the rim. The Texas native transferred from Georgia, so that he could be closer to his daughter; the hometown cooking has served him well.
#41 Jaylan Ford, ILB, 6022, 242, 4.61, Rd3 | Diligently going about his business, Ford is sure to check off all the boxes along the draft process. He demonstrates the qualities of a pro with his preparation in the film room and weight room. His football IQ, size, physicality and quickness are all through the roof.
#1 Jalen Catalon, SS, 5095, 201, 4.49, rSr, Rd6 | A hard-hitting safety who has paid the price for his physical ways, Catalon has dealt with a barrage of injuries during his time at Arkansas. However, he has been a consistent performer for the Longhorns. The Texas high school legend could provide great value on Day 3 of the NFL Draft.
#4 Jordan Whittington, WR, 5116, 205, 4.47, rSr, PFA | One of the first players in and last to leave is Whittington who hails from a family of 10 siblings. A fearless receiver who has no qualms about going over the middle, he’s also one of the better blocking wideouts in this year’s draft class. His uncle, Arthur won a Super Bowl (Raiders).
#23 Jahdae Barron, CB, 5096, 190, 4.47, Sr, PFA | A lethal weapon guarding the slot, Barron does a nice job baiting the opposing quarterbacks and possesses track speed, which allows for quick recovery when needed. #24 Roman Hemby, RB, 5116, 200, 4.48, rSo, Rd4 | A multifaceted back, Hemby has deceptive speed and burst. He has proven to be capable as a runner, pass-catcher and blocker. Overall, he would fit best in an offense that features a large amount of outside zone.
#3 Taulia Tagovailoa, QB, 5105, 200, 4.70, rSr, Rd7 | There is growing enthusiasm for the evolution of Tagovailoa, whose accuracy at all levels (short/intermediate/long) are impressive. While arm strength will be the knock (much like his brother), he can push the ball downfield just fine. A true gamer that rallies his team.
#25 Beau Brade, SS, 6002, 200, 4.54, Sr, PFA | A two-year starter, the twitched up Brade is a solid tackler in the open field. He shows up around the football, creates turnovers and is expected to test well. If he performs well during the draft process, he could crack the top 100 overall.
#4 Still Tarheeb, CB, 5115, 185, 4.47, Sr, PFA | Keeping it tight on the inside-out is Tarheeb who specialized in the slot before moving to the boundary in ‘23. His length, speed and leadership are his most positive attributes. The Terrapins staff has also lauded his efforts in developing younger players.
Five To Watch: Ohio State Buckeyes
#18 Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, 6032, 205, 4.46, Jr, Rd1 | A rare prospect, Harrison Jr. could be the top overall pick in the draft come April, as there are few flaws in his overall game. His route-running, hands, acceleration and dependability rate superb. Has the talent to be even greater than his father.
#2 Emeke Egbuka, WR, 6006, 205, 4.42, Jr, Rd1 | One of the most consistent and well-rounded prospects eligible for the draft Egbuka is a student of the game. His understanding of schemes, ability to line up at various spots and constant thirst to improve will make him a coach’s dream at the next level. Has drawn comparisons to Ja’Marr Chase.
#5 Denzel Burke, CB, 6005, 190, 4.49, Jr, Rd2 | Blessed with a rare combination of size, speed and instincts, Burke has been a premier cover man in the B1G on a weekly basis. His movement skills, natural feel and ability to close ground would be best suited for a zone scheme.
#91 Tyleik Williams, DT, 6026, 318, 4.99, Rd2 | Talent observers have noticed a much more explosive and better conditioned Williams, whose propensity to create havoc in the backfield is most appealing. His ability to move his bowling ball frame laterally plays well in stuffing the run; stock up.
#35 Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, 6022, 240, 4.71, Rd2 | A seek-and-destroy backer, Eichenberg flies to the football. He’s a tremendous run stuffer, able to fend off incoming blockers efficiently but is somewhat limited athletically. Whether he can survive at the next level as a three down backer remains to be seen
No.10 Notre Dame (5-1) at No.25 Louisville (5-0)
Saturday, October 7, 2023 | 7:30p ET ABC

#56 Howard Cross III, DT, 6007, 290, 5.00, rSr, Rd6 | Few players are crushing it more than Cross III, who has spent so much time in the opponent’s backfield, he should be paying rent. He’s smart, quick and demonstrates the ability to handle double-teams. His Super Bowl winning dad played 13 seasons in the NFL
#8 Javontae Jean-Baptiste, DE, 6045, 249, 4.67, rSr, Rd7 | One of the more polarizing prospects eligible for the draft is Jean-Baptiste who is blessed with all the pedigree and athletic traits that NFL scouts love but has yet been able to make it all click. The former four-star who transferred from Ohio State has been compared to Justin Tuck.
#25 Chris Tyree, WR, 5095, 197, 4.42, Sr, PFA | A modern day ‘Slash’ who has starred in numerous roles, Tyree is a speed-burner who’s at his best when working in space. He began as a running back/returner but injuries robbed him of his full potential. With his ability to separate he has made a smooth transition to wideout.
#26 Xavier Watts, FS, 5115, 193, 4.55, rJr, PFA | A tough player who has persevered both on and off the field, Watts has developed into a dependable last line of defense for the Fighting Irish.
