NFL POWER RANKINGS
Unlike some (cough, cough, Panthers), we are not ready to push the panic button on the winless Ravens and Rams. With Los Angeles a bit more banged up at the moment with injuries, there could be some more early season bumps along the way until they steady the sail. Losing Isiah Pacheco to a fractured fibula will certainly strain the Chiefs regular season gauntlet. However, KC still remains rock solid and has seemingly overcome countless departures and injuries in the past. Despite a rough outing against the Vikings, the 49ers should survive just fine without Christian McCaffrey, who will miss reportedly miss at least another month due to an Achilles injury. The Bills have shown capable of beating anyone, while the Saints have earned their way onto the list.
Kansas City Chiefs
San Francisco 49ers
Houston Texans
Detroit Lions
Baltimore Ravens
Los Angeles Rams
Buffalo Bills
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Los Angeles Chargers
New Orleans Saints
NFL SOUR RANKINGS
The opposite of our Power Rankings, are the Sour Rankings. These organizations have left a bad taste in the mouth of their fans through the first two weeks and are trending towards the No.1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. With the Panthers benching of Bryce Young, Carolina could be looking to select a quarterback once again just two years removed from making him the No.1 overall pick. The Broncos, Titans and Giants will be plagued by quarterback woes all season, while the Dolphins could have a difficult time staying in contention, as the the future status surrounding Tua Tagovailoa remains murky.
Carolina Panthers
Denver Broncos
Tennessee Titans
New York Giants
Washington Commanders
Miami Dolphins
Indianapolis Colts
New England Patriots
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Browns
NFL QB RANKINGS
Even more weight will be on the masterful Mahomes to carry the Chiefs offense during the absence of Pacheco but that’s what makes him the best pro football player on the planet. The 49ers will need to sustain without key elements such as McCaffrey, in addition to Deebo Samuels. Meanwhile, the play of stars such as Jalen Hurts of the Eagles and Joe Burrow of the Bengals seems to have fallen off significantly—situations worth monitoring. When healthy, Cardinals dual-threat Kyler Murray has proven to be a top-10 caliber QB in the NFL, as he cracks the list this week.
Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs
Lamar Jackson, Ravens
Josh Allen, Bills
Matthew Stafford, Rams
Brock Purdy, 49ers
CJ Stroud, Texans
Aaron Rodgers, Jets
Jalen Hurts, Eagles

CFB POWER RANKINGS
Our initial rankings haven’t budged much. It’s nice to see that the NCAA polls have finally hopped aboard the Longhorns wagon. However, Ole Miss still remains our top-ranked college football team in the land. Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin seems to be locked in, razor sharp and has arrived in 2024 with a renewed focus. The national media has yet to pay USC the respect it deserves in the polls. A mega win over Michigan in Ann Arbor this week would be a huge statement game for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans.

Miami Hurricanes
Oregon Ducks
Tennessee Volunteers

HEISMAN TROPHY WATCH
The Arch Manning craze has yet to hit full throttle but the meter is headed into overdrive for the Longhorns platoon signal-caller. He has had a significant impact during his limited playing time, making several highlight reel worthy plays and is worthy of a mention here, considering how his odds in Vegas have suddenly surged. Cam Ward had another lavish performance for the Hurricanes this past week but they will need to continue their winning ways, in order for him to remain in contention until the very end. Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter has entered glorified rare air territory alongside the likes of Charles Woodson (Michigan) and Champ Bailey (Georgia), having played at least 123 snaps in each of his past three games.
