On a week-to-week basis, the SEC schedule can often feel like a playoff elimination contest. Currently, the SEC has nine schools ranked in the Top 25, nearly as many as the Big Ten (5) and Big 12 (5) combined. The ACC is next with four. That could carry weight once the College Football Playoffs Committee unveils their initial poll rankings.
