Evaluation: A dual-threat signal-caller and fearless downfield passer, Casey has maximized every opportunity when called upon. He possesses a quick, fluid release, along with the arm strength to make all the throws, with nice touch on deep balls. In addition, Casey utilizes an effective pump fake and is able to alter his arm angle when needed, in order to get the pass off, while also demonstrating the ability to throw on the run. One area in which he has made great strides is in the footwork department, displaying sound fundamentals on his three, five and seven foot dropbacks, plus a natural feel in the pocket. As a runner, Casey is able to extend plays due to his scrambling prowess and displays excellent vision as a runner. He has been praised for his leadership, as a motivator who communicates well and is well-liked by teammates. Overall, Casey is a developmental quarterback who needs more experience to reach his full potential but he has flashed all the tools in the toolbox.

Played 8 games (two starts) at West Georgia, completed 83-of-149 passes, for 1,109 passing yards, 11 touchdowns; added 177 rushing yards and three scores on the ground. Played 19 games at Alabama A&M (2021-23), completed 58% of his passes, for 2,578 yards and 16 passing touchdowns. Played seven games at Jackson State (2019-21) and backed up Shedeur Sanders, completed 50-of-81 passes, for 551 passing yards, five touchdowns, zero interceptions. Earned his degree in sports management. Recruited out of Ridgeway High School (Memphis). Has one son.
