ALL ACCESS FOOTBALL TOP 50 NFL DRAFT BIG BOARD
Our first in-season Big Board here at All Access Football features the top 50 draft-eligible prospects in the land.
The number one spot currently belongs to the prolific Deion Sanders protege that is Travis Hunter of Colorado. Whether NFL teams prefer him at wide receiver, or cornerback, or will continue to utilize him on both sides of the football will be one of the more fascinating storylines once we arrive to April.
Despite a disappointing loss to Vanderbilt this past week, there isn’t a quarterback in the nation playing at a higher level right now than Alabama dual-threat Jalen Milroe. His performance for the Crimson Tide during their scintillating victory over Carson Beck and Georgia could carry weight during the evaluation process, as the debate to who the first quarterback chosen should be is shaping up to be a complex situation.
One player who has elevated his draft stock significantly is Miami signal-caller Cam Ward, a strong candidate to win the Heisman Trophy Award. The gutsy gunslinger could also wind up in consideration to be the top overall selection. In addition, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains in very favorable standing within the scouting community.
The Buffaloes aren’t the only school who could land two players inside the top 10 picks. Michigan has a pair of standouts on defense in menacing defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback playmaker Will Johnson, both of whom are considered to be ‘blue-chip’ prospects.
Another notable name expected to be in consideration atop the draft is Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr., who brings size, athleticism, pedigree and production. It appears to be a healthy class overall for pass-rushers, as six landed in our initial top 50, while a handful of others just missed the cut.
The wide receiver position has risen in terms of value placed on the NFL Draft. In each of the past five drafts, there has been at least four wideouts selected in the first round. In 2024, we saw a grand total of 35 receivers drafted, the fourth most ever during the seven-round draft era. This year, Missouri speedster Luther Burden III and Arizona marvel Tetairoa McMillan are the leaders in the clubhouse.
Keep an eye on Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. Not only is he a dark horse candidate for the Heisman Trophy, he’s also stating his case as a bonafide first round pick due to his cutback vision, ability to break tackles and insane burst. Jeanty has been one of the most electrifying players in college football this season!
We will continue to update and stack the AAF Big Board every Monday moving forward, so make sure to keep it locked! Bringing you the names you need to know first, since 2002.
