NFL Draft Profile: Lindsey Scott Jr., Quarterback, Incarnate Word Cardinals

Ric Serritella on the enigma Lindsey Scott Jr., Quarterback, Incarnate Word Cardinals

One of my favorite dual-threat Quarterback prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft

Possibly the most exciting quarterback in this year’s draft is Incarnate Ward dual-threat Lindsey Scott, who accounted for 71 touchdowns this season! For those of us fortunate enough to remember Charlie Ward at Florida State, Scott is the second coming…it’ll be interesting to see if he can defy the odds and overcome his short stature.

Lindsey Scott, Incarnate Ward, rSr, 5102, 228, 4.56e, NFLPA, Grade Late Round - UDFA

Scott's agility, speed, and athleticism make him a dangerous dual-threat quarterback, and his ability to improvise and make plays happen out of nothing is truly remarkable. His decision-making skills are also exceptional, as evidenced by his low interception rate this season.

One of the main concerns regarding Scott's potential in the NFL is his height. At 5'10, he is shorter than the average quarterback, and this has caused some to question his ability to succeed at the next level. However, Scott's impressive stats and consistent performance on the field suggest that he has what it takes to overcome this hurdle and become a successful NFL quarterback.
