From NIL, the transfer portal, revenue sharing, conference alignment, leadership models and more, the NCAA landscape has completely morphed over the past five years. In this edition of Scouting The League, hosts Neil Stratton and Rodrik David welcome Ethan Young of the 33rd Team to discuss his new book: ‘The Transformation of College Football.’
Ethan Young is a College Football Personnel Executive. He spent the 2018 to 2023 seasons at UCLA, where he led the building of a team that went 28-17 over four seasons after his elevation to Director of Player Personnel. Before working for the Bruins, he spent a season with the NFL’s Next Gen Stats department, and several years scouting players for media outlets. He currently works at The 33rd Team, a football think-tank, managing their collegiate advisory services offerings.
