Observing the Miami Dolphins new regime reconstruct the roster from afar has been nothing short of impressive. After a 7-10 finish to the 2025 campaign, the team hired general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley from the Green Bay Packers organization.

Every franchise needs a quarterback to build around, so the first order of business was importing quarterback Malik Willis over from frigid Green Bay, to sunny (hello) Miami. However, the Dolphins also have a young developmental signal-caller in Quinn Ewers, who flashed glimpses of potential during his three-game audition at the end of the season.

Most remarkable, were the 13 selections that Miami made during the 2026 NFL Draft, the most of any NFL team and includes four rookies who cracked our list below. The Dolphins have secured a pair of bookends to protect their quarterback for years to come with their first round selection of offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, to pair with Patrick Paul.

Miami will field almost an entirely new offense in 2026. While De’Von Achane (pic: Miami Dolphins) remains the lead back, he is coming off a career-high 305 touches a year ago. Look for the Dolphins to lighten his workload with youngsters Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon. There was much anticipation that Wright would bust out last season but he struggled with injuries, while Gordon provides a tough, physical presence who can grind it out between the tackles.

Significant changes were also made on defense, as the team parted ways with Pro Bowl defensive end Bradley Chubb (Bills), which thrusts 2024 first round pick Chop Robinson into the spotlight. It’s a make-or-break season for Robinson, who saw his production drop-off last season. Hafley has stated his desire to help coach him up for the challenge.

Overall, Miami has accumulated plenty of young talent to be excited about for the future and if the quarterback position pans out, it’s quite possible to see the Dolphins turn it around rather quickly. With no major pieces expected to be eligible for free agency next offseason, Miami will use this year to reset the culture, identify players who fit long-term and obtain invaluable experience for their current youth movement.
