2025 NFL DRAFT BIG BOARD: OFFENSIVE TACKLES
The offensive tackle class of 2025 is stout with instant impact prospects. With up to six tackles projected for the first round and approximately a dozen in total who possess starter caliber traits, it’s very possible that this position group overshadows the others during the first two days of the NFL Draft, scheduled for April 24-26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Our top-rated offensive tackle has been and remains Kelvin Banks Jr. of Texas. He may get dinged for his lack of height and length but his overall skill-set is the most polished amongst all draft-eligible players. Ohio State stalwart John Simmons laid down some highly impressive film early in the season before a left knee injury ended his campaign prematurely. However, he is expected to make a full recovery and be ready in time for the start of training camp.
Many draft observes have LSU left tackle Will Campbell slated as their top offensive tackle prospect. Not so much in our book and we’ll break down Campbell more extensively in the draft guide but he tends to struggle with speed, which could create issues at the next level. His counterpart, LSU right tackle Emery Jones was one of the more impressive player in attendance at the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
One player we did not see participate in the all-star circuit would be Myles Hinton of Michigan. After starting for two seasons at Stanford, Hinton transferred to Ann Arbor, where he started at left tackle the past two years. With a great combination of size, experience, technique and tenacity, Hinton holds a lot of value. In addition, he brings strong NFL bloodlines, as the son of former All Pro Chris Hinton and brother of Christopher Hinton (Chargers).
Keep an eye on Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson of Florida, who possesses raw athleticism but has much as upside as any offensive tackle prospect and HBCU product Carson Vinson of Alabama State whose length and power caught the attention of NFL decision-makers in Mobile. These two players could become fast-risers!
Please note, if you don’t see a player listed below in our initial rankings, it means either we project them as guard at the next level, or they will be included in our expanded rankings published in the Official 2025 NFL Draft Bible.
