The Seahawks remain steady, ranking 15th this year, just slightly down from their 14th-place finish last season. New head coach Mike Macdonald receives strong reviews, with 100% of players agreeing he uses their time efficiently. The team made significant strides in family accommodations, improving their family treatment grade from a C last year to an A- this year, thanks to the introduction of a family room during games. At the time of the survey, players identified two key areas for improvement. Their top priority was upgrading the training room and expanding the available treatment modalities. The second concern was the tub room, as only about half of the players felt the current facilities were adequately sized. Following the survey, the team shared positive news: both the training room and tub room will be renovated, with completion set for this offseason.
OVERVIEW
Do not count out the Seattle Seahawks. While they have failed to make the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, the aforementioned Macdonald was able to guide the team to double-digit victories for the first time since 2020. The Seahawks would seem to be back on the uprise and they have invested heavily in the defensive secondary in recent drafts. The added talent, plus the signing of quarterback Sam Darnold (photo: Seattle Seahawks), has the organization optimistic headed into the season.

BUST OUT PLAYERS
Sometimes an injury to a club can turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Such was the case for the Seahawks when an injury to starting right guard Anthony Bradford suddenly paved an opening for sixth round pick Sataoa Laumea. He turned out to be quite the discovery, as Seattle has since entrusted him with the full-time gig in 2025 … The offense has the luxury of having two highly talented running backs. The multi-faceted Zach Charbonnet would likely be good enough to start for a handful of NFL teams around the league but is only called into action when needed in ‘The Emerald City.’ He produced 909 all-scrimmage yards, along with nine scores in mostly a backup capacity a year ago. Look for the team to find more creative ways on finding him the football … A big season is on tap for Byron Murphy II (photo: Seattle Seahawks). While a hamstring injury limited him early on, once he got the engine revved, his high motor was on full display. His ability to gobble up double-teams and propensity to make big plays in the clutch has created plenty of excitement surrounding Murphy II.
2025 NFL DRAFT CLASS
ROUND | PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | POSITION | SCHOOL
Rd.1 No.18. Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State — An excellent fit for the Seahawks, Zabel provides durability, dependability and stability along the offensive line. Don’t be surprised if this turns out to be one of the best value picks of the draft. (photo: Seattle Seahawks)
Rd.2 No.35. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina - The Seahawks have invested heavily into their secondary in recent drafts and they hope to have found the next Kam Chancellor with the selection of Emmanwori, who owns rare size and athleticism.
Rd.2 No.50. Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami - An injury-riddled career hindered Arroyo early on but he busted out in a big way during his final season, showcasing his pass-catching prowess. His speed could make him one of the more dangerous tight ends in the league.
Rd.3 No.92. Jalen Milroe, QB, Seattle — It’s all about the upside for Milroe, who brings a similar skill-set as Lamar Jackson (Ravens). Having the time to sit patiently behind Sam Darnold and learn is probably the best situation for him early on. This was a low risk, high reward selection.
Rd.5 No.142. Rylie Mills, DT, Notre Dame — A monster presence in the middle of the defensive line, able to play multiple gaps, ills appeared in 61 games for the Fighting Irish until a right knee injury ended his season prematurely.
Rd.5 No.166. Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State — The two-time Rams team captain underwent knee surgery in October, so he will enter training camp on the mend. Horton is the only known player in college football to torch Travis Hunter (Jaguars).
Rd.5 No.175. Robbie Ouzts, TE, Alabama — An undersized tight end, Ouzts will try to make the team as a traditional fullback and stands a good chance to stick on the 53-man roster, or practice squad.
Rd.6 No.192. Bryce Cabeldue, OG, Kansas — A grappler in the trenches, the former high school wrestling standout demonstrates great hand placement and understand angles. Cabeldue is an aggressive, high intensity player who raises the level of competition.
Rd.7 No.223. Damien Martinez, RB, Miami — The Seahawks are stacked in the backfield, so they didn’t necessarily have a need here but Martinez was too talented to pass up. Any team in need of a running back may want to call Seattle.
