PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: NYCK HARBOR, WR, SOUTH CAROLINA
One player who should have NFL scouts salivating is South Carolina wideout Nyck Harbor. A combination of alluring size, freakish athleticism and incredible vertical game, Harbor is poised to be a big-play threat at the next level. We saw evidence of that right out of the gate, when Gamecocks signal-caller LaNorris Sellers hooked up with Harbor for a 64-yard touchdown bomb in the season-opener.
The star-studded 6-foot-5, 235-pound explosive strider was back at it again this past weekend, showcasing his towering, muscular frame and world-class speed. The junior protégé burst onto the stat sheet early in the third quarter, blowing past the Alabama secondary on a post route as the X receiver, adjusting to a slightly under-thrown 54-yard strike from Sellers for a touchdown that pulled South Carolina within two points. While South Carolina came up short in the comeback attempt, it’s clear that Harbor possesses sticky hands and fine blocking.
The lack of production at the collegiate level should not factor into his draft stock, as Harbor is rare specimen. The former Gamecocks track sprinter earned an invitation with Team USA for the Olympic trials in 2024. He has since turned his focus solely on football and the best is yet to come for Harbor, who showcases elite traits to blossom into a fictional creative player at the next level. The sky is the limit for this prospect, who could very well land on the first round radar.

CFL PLAYOFFS SEMIFINALS: WINNIPEG (10-8) AT MONTREAL (10-8)
Saturday, November 1, 2025 || Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, Montreal || 2:00pm ET — CFL+
The first game of a Saturday CFL playoffs doubleheader kicks off at 2:00pm eastern time, with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers visiting the Montreal Alouettes. The main storyline entering this matchup is the current changing of the guard at quarterback, as Blue Bombers signal-caller Zach Collaros is a three-time CFL Grey Cup Champion with a 7-1 record as a starter in the postseason. Meanwhile, up-and-comer Davis Alexander has yet to lose a game as a CFL starter, reeling off 11 consecutive victories under the helm dating back to last season. However this will be the first postseason start in his career.
On the season, Collaros played in 13 games, completing 72.6% of his passes, for 17 touchdowns but also had an alarming 16 interceptions. For Alexander, who made just eight starts this year due to injury, he finished up completing 72.5% of his passes, for 2,024 yards, 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
CFL PLAYOFFS SEMIFINALS: CLAGARY (11-7) AT BC (11-7)
Saturday, November 1, 2025 || BC Place - Vancouver, British Columbia || 5:30pm ET — CFL+
The second CFL playoff matchup features a revenge game, as the Calgary Stampeders visit the BC Lions. It has been a remarkable turnaround season for Calgary, who won just five games a year ago. Largely in part due to the arrival of quarterback Vernon Adams, who spent the previous two years as a member of the Lions. On the season, Adams completed 65.2% of his passes, for 4,247 yards, 21 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 17 games.
The arrival of Nathan Rourke in BC led to the departure of Adams and while Rourke has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks north of the border, his season has been plagued by inconsistencies. For Rourke, he started all 18 games, connecting on 70.4% of his passes, for a whopping 5.290 yards and 31 touchdowns but also tied the aforementioned Collaros with a league-leading 16 interceptions. A true dual-threat, Rourke also added 564 rushing yards and 10 scores via the ground. You can expect to see points on the board in bushels in this affair.
UFL SHOWCASE STANDOUTS — ORLANDO, FL
Results from the latest United Football League (UFL) Showcase in Orlando are in and a few players turned some heads with their speed. One of the top performers was wide receiver Jordan Bly, an undrafted free agent out of Gardner Webb in the 2025 NFL Draft. Most recently, Bly was in training camp with the New York Giants. The 5-foot-9, 170 pound speedster caught our attention at the Trillion Tropical Bowl back in January, after being named to the All Access Football All-Tropical Bowl Team. Despite his lack of size, Bly was virtually unable to be guarded all week long during the week of practice. During the Orlando showcase, Bly turned in the fastest recorded forty-yard dash time of 4.34. The NFL bloodlines certainly run deep for the Charlotte native, as the son of Super Bowl champion and current New York Jets defensive backs coach Dry Bly and he is also the cousin of Indianapolis Colts Josh Downs. The odds of Bly being picked up by a UFL team appear to be strong, as he now attempts his journey to return back to the NFL.
Other notable performers included Texas A&M Shane Calhoun, a member of the 2024 NFL Draft Class, who registered a forty-yard dash time of 4.53. Standing in at just 6-foot-2, the 245-pound Calhoun could have a future as a fullback. He possesses innate athleticism, as he registered a 39” vertical jump and 11-foot broad jump. A league such as the UFL is the ideal landing spot for such a player, as Calhoun would be able to hone his skill-set in the new role. We will continue to update the latest developments surrounding the UFL, which kicks off in just 150 days!
