EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL DAY 2 RECAP
The second day of practice for the 100th Annual East-West Shrine Bowl wrapped up on Sunday at the North Texas indoor facility. A third NFL general manager was spotted, as Joe Schoen of the New York Giants arrived to join a large team contingency. One of the great parts about the all-star games is the vast array of individuals who come out. For example, G-Men head coach Brian Daboll and Norfolk State head coach Mike Vick spent a considerable amount of time conversing on Saturday night.
Other sightings throughout the week included Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Kevin Mawae, Tim Brown and Steve Atwater. Also, a big shoutout to Shawne Merriman and Lights Out Sports for broadcasting the East-West Shrine Bowl practices, filling a huge void in the market for NFL Draft enthusiasts. You can watch today’s practice live at 9:00am eastern time here.
Wrapping up our time down in Dallas, we must acknowledge the phenomenal hospitality demonstrated by the East-West Shrine Bowl staff who ran an extremely well-organized event. The access to practice film, accessibility to player interviews and availability to information was top-notch. Thank you to executive director Eric Galko, assistant directors of college scouting Owen Reise and David Wells, national scout Gerald Huggins, scout Joe Rozell and the entire crew. Outstanding job!
EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL DAY 2 ADD-ONS
The East-West Shrine Bowl had several roster additions during the week, including Penn State offensive lineman Sam Wormley, Rutgers defensive lineman Kyonte Hamilton, cornerbacks Ethan Robertson of Minnesota and Jakob Robertson of BYU, along with Pittsburgh safety Donovan McMillan.

EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL DAY 2 PRACTICE 1 RECAP
Several standouts from Day 2 of East-West Shrine Bowl practice includes Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer, who continues to impress with a quick release, ball velocity and timing. Cincinnati running back Corey Kiner looks to have the most spring in his step amongst running backs in attendance. His combination of run / catch ability could certainly fit in well as a rotational back at the next level. Watching versatile Miami wideout Sam Brown line up all over the field was a joy, he’s an easy mover with fluid motion.
In the trenches, Boston College offensive lineman Drew Kendall had a stand out day, crushed the one-on-one portion of the practice and has likely placed himself inside the top 100 with his poverall erformance this week. One name who constantly popped up on our note sheet is Maryland redshirt sophomore Jordan Phillips, who possesses quick burst, brute strength and a relentless motor. Lastly, California cornerback Nohl Williams demonstrated great man coverage ability due to his great instincts, fluid hips and anticipation.
EAST-WEST SHRINE BOWL DAY 2 PRACTICE 2 RECAP
The second East-West Shrine Bowl practice featured a revved up Rocket Sanders, as the South Carolina running back flashed some fancy cutback ability and burst. No one here has more playmaking ability than Ja’Corey Brooks of Louisville. The lengthy wideout is smooth route runner with twitch, footwork and dependable hands. Another player who has garnered attention includes Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Neyor.
Meanwhile, Oregon State mauler Joshua Gray showed off his versatility and fundamentally sound skill-set. Gray owns experience at all five positions along the offensive line but projects as an interior swingman who could step in start at any spot. When it comes to sticky coverage, instincts, physicality and aggresiveness, Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant is all that and a bag of chips.
