ON LOCATION (NASHVILLE): INSIDE THE PERSONNEL SYMPOSIUM
The annual Personnel Symposium Powered By TeamWorks is a must-attend event if you work in football personal, or aspire to. This year’s event had over 1,600 attendees that spanned from the NFL, NCAA, CFL, indoor and other pro leagues. In fact, representatives from 160 NCAA schools were in attendance! The event has arguably become the premier networking event on the football calendar.
While many industry professionals attend the NFL Scouting Combine in hopes of advancing their career, interactions in Indianapolis feel more like a date dash, as individuals are on different time schedules and the event is spread out across the entire downtown. At the Personnel Symposium, attendees can be found in a much more concentrated area, as the three-day event is condensed into the Renaissance Hotel, leading to more intimate conversations.
Upon our arrival on Monday morning, All Access Football huddled up in downtown Nashville to coordinate the week ahead. The first day of the Personnel Symposium panels featured keynote speaker and College Football Hall of Fame inductee Mack Brown. Later on that evening, attendees gathered at the Hudl Networking event, which led into an evening of various spin-off events on nearby Broadway Street.
On Tuesday, it was non-stop football as the day’s festivities began at the Personnel Symposium for educational panels on topics such as front office management, scouting and technology trends, including AI. Next, it was off to Tennessee Titans training camp for a check-in on how the development is progressing for the rebuilding franchise.
The third day featured additional seminars on roster management and player evaluation, along with more networking opportunities.
