On Location: 10 Observations From Bills Training Camp

ON LOCATION: BUFFALO BILLS TRAINING CAMP
The All Access Football training camp tour is underway. Our second destination lands us in Buffalo, New York, where NFL Draft Bible scout Sky French was in attendance for Buffalo Bills training camp on Saturday, August 1st.
Here are five observations from practice that caught our attention:
Observations from Bills Camp
Veterans Josh Allen and DJ Moore showed strong chemistry throughout practice. Allen consistently found Moore on the boundary, including several quick outside routes off play-action. Moore’s footwork at the top of his routes was impressive, creating separation while also showing strong sideline awareness and toe-tap ability. Allen also connected with Moore for a touchdown on a quick slant.
Rookie wide receiver Skyler Bell looked great throughout practice, continuing to flash sharp cuts, advanced route-running ability and strong vision after the catch. He took a jet sweep between the tackles for a first down and turned a short slant into a gain of more than 20-yards. Bell also received several first-team reps in the slot. The chemistry between Bell and the quarterbacks still appears to be a work in progress, as a few passes in his direction were under-thrown, or over-thrown. The quarterbacks are continuing to adjust to Bell’s route tempo and movement style, which likely explains why he received extra work with Josh Allen after practice both today and Thursday. Once that timing becomes more consistent, Bell has shown the ability to create separation and make an impact at multiple levels of the field.
