The Giants dropped to 20th overall from 8th last year. The Giants' highest-rated categories are their strength coaches and head coach Brian Daboll. Based on feedback from last year, the team improved family accommodations by adding a stadium family room. Areas needing improvement include a dated locker room, outdated hot and cold tubs and better communication between the team and players’ families. While the players appreciate the addition of the family room, they want the team to more effectively engaged with their families.
OVERVIEW
One team who entered the draft with a clear strategy and executed the plan to perfection were the New York Giants. They now own one of the most feared defensive lines in the entire NFL, adding a blue chip value in Penn State pass-rusher Abdul Carter. Trading back into the first round for their hand-picked franchise signal-caller in Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss was a big win, especially when you consider the equity given up. (photo: New York Giants)

BUST OUT PLAYERS
The G-Men received a boost on offense from a pair of Day 3 rookies last year in running back Tyrone Tracy and tight end Theo Johnson (photo: New York Giants). The Giants found a true gem in Tracy, who rushed for 839 yards, despite not starting until the fifth game of the season, while adding 38 catches out of the backfield, for an additional 284 yards. As for Johnson, he showed much promise in wake of a raw skill-set and started 12-of-13 games played before a season-ending Lisfranc injury. The New York offense will depend upon the duo once again this season, as they desperately need to create a stronger supporting cast around cornerstone wideout Malik Nabers, who had one of the more impressive rookie campaigns in 2024 … On defense, the secondary will count on nickelback Dru Phillips to play an even larger role. He flashed great potential in six starts a year ago, accumulating 71 tackles, while showcasing his ability to create turnovers with two forced fumbles and one interception … Plus, Tyler Nubin is expected to be fully healthy to assume one of the starting safety spots after collecting 98 tackles during his first 13 games before an ankle injury ended his season prematurely.
2025 NFL DRAFT CLASS
ROUND | PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | POSITION | SCHOOL
Rd.1 No.3. Abdul Carter, ER, Penn State — The G-Men have had some historic defenses in the past and look to lean on the All-World talent Carter to produce sack-master type results.
Rd.1 No.25. Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss — It’s only a matter of time until Dart gets his opportunity to take over the starting the job. He looks to follow in the Rebels footsteps of Eli Manning.
Rd.3 No.65. Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo — The Big Blue defensive line suddenly went from an area of concern to an area of strength, as Alexander will make an immediate impact.
Rd.4 No.105. Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State — If Skattebo doesn’t win the starting job out of training camp, he still projects to factor into the backfield equation in a major way.
Rd.5 No.154. Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue — Adding increased toughness along the offensive line was accomplished with the selection of Mbow who could push for playing time at guard.
Rd.7 No.219. Thomas Fidone II, TE, Nebraska — A rather large target who is fearless across the middle, Fidone II adds to the profundity at tight end.
Rd.7 No.246. Korie Black, CB, Oklahoma State — A notorious hard worker who possesses elite level speed, Black is expected to enhance the special teams.
