NFL DRAFT WATCH: TOP PROSPECTS SHELVED FOR STRETCH RUN
With just two weeks of the NCAA regular season remaining, injuries have accumulated around the nation, creating alterations for schools in contention. This week, it was announced that a trio of key players are likely out for the rest of the year, which will not only have impact on the field but also in the upcoming NFL Draft Class. Here’s the latest …
Ohio State playmaker Carnell Tate, the number one rated wide receiver prospect according to NFL Draft Bible, has been embroiled in a mystery surrounding his latest injury. Tate has missed the past two games due to an undisclosed injury, which Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day refuses to elaborate on. The projected first round pick is also expected to miss the upcoming game against Rutgers on Saturday. Without knowing the full extent of the injury, it remains to be seen as to whether or not Tate will be available for the College Football Playoff run, as Ohio State gets set to defend their title. While Tate should hold firm with his current draft grade, his absence would create a huge void for the Buckeyes offense. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
Michigan running back and Big Ten leading rusher Justice Haynes, the second-rated draft-eligible running back according to NFL Draft Bible, suffered a right foot injury that will require surgery and is expected to miss the remainder of the season. The injury had kept Haynes out the previous two games and he will now miss the final two regular season games. Despite appearing in just seven games in 2025, Haynes rambled for 857 rushing yards, averaging 7.1 yards per carry and 10 touchdowns. A projected Day 2 selection, there is nothing more for Haynes to gain at the collegiate level, other than an NIL payoput. In terms of his overall draft stock, he is firmly entrenched as a top 100 prospect and could do little to drastically raise his draft stock by returning for another season. Look for Haynes to eventually declare for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. (photo courtesy: Michigan Athletics)
Miami Hurricanes defensive back Keionte Scott, the sixth-ranked draft-eligible safety prospect according to NFL Draft Bible, suffered a serious right foot injury and could miss the rest of the season. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal stated that the injury occurred on November 8th, during a game against Syracuse. Featured primarily as a nickelback in the Hurricanes defense, Scott registered 44 tackles, three sacks, one interception, five pass deflections and two fumble recoveries in 10 games during his 2025 campaign. With six collegiate seasons under his belt, Scott may have exhausted his eligibility, which would enter him into the 2026 NFL Draft pool. The journeyman spent three seasons at Auburn (2022-24) and two years at Snow College (2020-21), prior to this past year in Coral Gables. No timetable has been set for Scott’s rehab yet. His lack of size may necessitate a move to safety in the pros.
ON LOCATION [CHESTNUT HILL]: GEORGIA TECH v BOSTON COLLEGE
NFL Draft Bible northeast scout Will Donoghue was on location in Chestnut Hill this past Saturday to observe the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets mount an impressive fourth quarter comeback to defeat the Boston College Eagles by a score of 36-34. All Access Football has updated the NFL Draft Watch reports accordingly with our latest player evaluations.
BOSTON COLLEGE EAGLES NFL DRAFT WATCH—What You’ll Find: The Boston College NFL Draft Watch Report has been updated to include 15 draft-eligible players on the NFL radar, with 10 in-depth player evaluations, including under the radar wideout Reed Harris, a dark horse candidate for the first round, plus a pair of offensive linemen who have been invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl in Jude Bowry and Logan Taylor. CFL GREY CUP: SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS ARE CROWNED
The Saskatchewan Roughriders defeated the Montreal Alouettes in the 112th Grey Cup at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg by a score of 25-17. The Roughriders trailed 7-1 after the first quarter but signal-caller Trevor Harris would guide the team to 24 unanswered points, on his way to earning Grey Cup MVP honors. The 15-year veteran and now three-time Grey Cup winner (his first as a starter), finished with an 85.2 completion percentage (Grey Cup record), going 23-of-27, for 302 passing yards and 119.7 passing efficiency rating.
Saskatchewan received strong contributions from running back AJ Ouellette, who racked up 83 rushing and 32 receiving yards, along with one score. In addition, wide receiver Samuel Emilus, who was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Canadian, had a career day, reeling in all 10 of his targets, for 108 receiving yards.
For Montreal, quarterback Davis Alexander was clearly bothered by a strained hamstring he suffered the week before, hence was relegated to being more of a pocket-passer for most of the game. Saskatchewan pounced on the opportunity, suffocating Davis for three sacks, while picking him off three times during the contest. It was the first loss of the young career for Davis, who had won all 13 of his previous starts. He would finish 22-of-34, for 284 passing yards. Alouettes running back Stevie Scott contributed 78 rushing yards, on 15 carries and one score, while wideout Tyson Philpot had five receptions, for 78 yards and one touchdown.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders celebrated with their championship parade in Regina on Tuesday, along the Green Mile on Albert Street and 12th Avenue. It was their first Grey Cup Championship since 2013 and fifth in franchise history. (photo courtesy: CFL)
THE PRO SHOWCASE (MIAMI): EVENT DRAWS FOUR NFL TEAMS
The Pro Showcase, designed to help free agent players receive pro opportunities and founded by Brian Woods, was held in Miami last week. One of the staples in the alternative football scenes over the past decade, Woods could be attributed for what currently stands as the United Football League (UFL).
It was Woods, who established The Spring League (TSL), a pro showcase held from 2017-2021. The league would eventually lead to FOX Sports forming the new United States Football League (USFL). Of course, the USFL would later merge with the XFL to create the UFL. As part of the transition from TSL, to USFL, Woods was eventually faded out and signed a five-year no-compete clause.
His latest venture has already gained traction amongst NFL and CFL organizations. The Pro Showcase in Miami drew 100 participants (each player paid a cost of $1,299) and had scouts in attendance from four NFL teams, including the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins.
Some notable players with NFL experience took part in the showcase including wideout Mike Harley (University of Miami), linebacker Matthew Adams (University of Houston) and cornerback Jeremy Lucien (Vanderbilt University). The Pro Showcase has already resulted in at least one player signing a pro contract, as former San Diego State running back Marquez Cooper (All Access Football 2025 All-Tropical Bowl Team), has signed with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL.
