The Eagles finish the year ranked 22nd. There are many seemingly low-cost improvements the team could make that would quickly improve the players’ experience. Players identify three easy fixes: providing childcare on game days (like most NFL teams do), prioritizing first-class seating for players instead of coaches, and staggering lunch times to avoid overcrowding in the cafeteria. Currently, players wait in long lines and are unable to find places to sit and eat because the business staff takes up most of the space. The other recurring issue is a lack of space, with players noting that nearly every facility category felt too small or lacked enough space. Despite these concerns, players remain optimistic that things will improve. When asked what the team currently does best, players shared that team leadership listens to their feedback and prioritizes improvements.
OVERVIEW
We begin our ‘2025 NFL Draft Recap Series,’ with a look at the NFC East, where the reigning champion Philadelphia Eagles reside. Never shy to make a bold move, GM Howie Roseman (photo: Philadelphia Eagles) ended Day 1 with a bang when he traded up one spot to select Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell. The Birds also solidified their secondary on Day 2 of the draft, while continuing their trend of building depth in the trenches on Day 3. The Eagles are constructed to be serious contenders once again but will face a gauntlet in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. (photo: Philadelphia Eagles)

BUST OUT PLAYERS
Few teams replenish the pipeline as well as the Eagles front office. One key factor that provides them an advantage over the other 31 teams is having Jeff Stoutland on the coaching staff. Simply known as ‘Stoutland U’ around Broad Street, his latest protege is the versatile Tyler Steen (photo: Philadelphia Eagles). Unable to beat out Mekhi Becton for the starting left guard role as a rookie, Steen will enter training camp as the odds-on favorite to assume the position in place of Becton, who bolted for the Chargers in free agency. Steen was called into duty down the stretch for the Birds and is expected to take a big step forward in year two … For a second consecutive season, the Eagles lost several prominent players along the defensive line due to free agency (Milton Williams) and retirement (Brandon Graham). At defensive tackle, Philadelphia was hoping to see Jordan Davis take the next step in his development. However, he seemed to give way to Moro Ojomo as last season wore on. The Nigerian-born seventh round pick Ojomo played in all 21 games last season, displaying the ability to get pressure on the quarterback. Look for Ojomo to emerge as a key cog.
2025 NFL DRAFT CLASS
ROUND | PICK | TEAM | PLAYER | POSITION | SCHOOL
Rd.1 No.31. Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama — Watch out for Campbell who slid due to injury concerns but this is a case of the rich getting richer, as the Super Bowl champs pulled off yet another draft day coup. (photo: Philadelphia Eagles)
Rd.2 No.64. Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas — With the departure of CJ Gardner-Johnson, the Eagles replace him with another playmaker safety who creates turnovers.
Rd.4 No.111. Ty Robinson, DT, Nebraska — The big, agile and versatile Robinson helps to replenish a defensive line that has been hit hard by retirements and defections.
Rd.5 No.145. Mac McWilliams, CB, UCF — An instinctual cover corner who thrives in zone, McWilliams is a fluid mover with quick recovery speed who projects as a nickelback.
Rd.5 No.161. Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georgia — Adding Mondon Jr. is an insurance policy for Campbell and Nakobe Dean, both of whom may not be healthy for the start of training camp.
Rd.5 No.168. Drew Kendall, C, Boston College — One of the best value picks of the entire draft, Kendall owns starter traits and gives the Eagles flexibility on the interior of the offensive line.
Rd.6 No.181. Kyle McCord,QB, Syracuse — The Eagles are constantly seeking to develop signal-callers, as McCord is the fifth quarterback drafted in the past ten years.
Rd.6 No.191. Myles Hinton, OT, Michigan — Dipping into the well-coached Wolverines offensive line, Hinton is a sound, smart lineman with strong hands and NFL bloodlines.
Rd.6 No.207. Cameron Williams, OT, Texas — A gargantuan right tackle, Philadelphia could eye a move to the inside with Williams who needs to harness some of his discipline woes.
Rd.6 No.209. Antwaun Powell-Ryland, ER, Virginia Tech — With great production over the past two years for the Hokies, Powell-Ryalnd is an undersized, try-hard pass-rusher who lacks length.
