Evaluation: A four-star recruit out of Charlotte, Concepcion burst onto the scene as an offensive weapon for his hometown NC State Wolfpack, gaining 839 receiving yards, 320 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, while earning All-Freshman ACC honors. However, poor quarterback play, a lack of targets and a noticeable decline in Raleigh, led ‘KC’ to College Station. The Aggies courtship of Concepcion resulted in one of the biggest portal signings of the offseason. His presence on offense will add an element of surprise, as Concepcion can beat opponents as a route runner but has also lined up at running back and can be utilized on jet sweeps, or bubble screens. In addition, he could elevate the special teams units as a dangerous punt returner. There is no denying the dynamic playmaking talent. It will now be up to Texas A&M offensive coordinator Collin Klein to incorporate Concepcion into the gameplan accordingly. He has been known as a highly intense competitor and tends to thrive inside the red zone, which are two appealing traits that NFL scouts have come to appreciate. With a bounce back year, Concepcion should be able to showcase his speed and explosiveness, which could catapult him into the fold as a possible top 100 overall selection.
