OWINGS MILLS, MD— The All Access Football Training Camp Tour continues with a pit-stop in Owings Mills, Maryland for an up close look at the Baltimore Ravens and new head coach Jesse Minter. The Ravens success largely depends on the health of two-time MVP dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson, who missed at least four games for the third time in the past five seasons. As a result, Baltimore failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2021. There is a new sense of optimism surrounding the organization as they begin their 2026 campaign.

1. Zay Flowers injury is not serious

Fresh off signing a new four-year, $140 million contract extension, number one wide receiver Zay Flowers suffered what originally looked to be a scary injury. Flowers collided with safety Jaylinn Hawkins over the middle during a 7-on-7 drill. After struggling to get up, he hobbled off the field and fell to the ground writhing in pain with running back Derek Henry kneeling next to him. After being looked at by trainers for a few minutes, Flowers limped off the field on his own and did not return. After practice, head coach Jesse Minter confirmed Flowers had a quad contusion and will be listed as day-to-day. The Ravens Flock can take a collective sigh of relief now.

2. Ja’Kobi Lane is separating himself as WR3

Its no secret that rookie receiver Ja’Kobi Lane has been a standout in camp but what was extremely noticeable was his chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson. Lane continued his run of making marvelous catches that only he can make. Often lining up with the starters, it was clear that the USC product is separating himself from the other receivers fighting for a spot. Minter praised the first-year wideout after practice describing Lane as “a big personality who has a business-like approach.” Minter continued, “Lane spends extra time with the receivers coaches and the quarterbacks.” Minter also stated that he told Jackson to test Lane in all areas by throwing it to him short, deep, in traffic and down the sideline to see how the rookie reacts. So far, the third round pick is living up to the challenge and emerging as a top target.
