DRAFT INSIDER: QB SHOWDOWN IN IRELAND

Welcome to the All Access Football ‘Draft Insider,’ published every Friday during the season. Each week, we will highlight several marquee matchups with a focus on key draft-eligible prospects on the NFL radar. This week, we have listed top players with in-depth scouting reports and verified measurements for three games, including ‘The Game of The Week’ for Week 0: (No.22) Iowa State vs (No.17) Kansas State, in Dublin Ireland. It’s rare to see two ranked opponents from P4 programs matchup in Week 0, which usually looks more like a preseason slate. Kansas State is the slight favorite, led by dual-threat quarterback Avery Johnson. However, Iowa State has an accomplished signal-caller in their own right with third-year starter Rocco Becht. We have highlighted nearly two dozens prospects to keep in an eye on in what is sure to be an exciting contest that goes down to the wire.

Other games you will find NFL Draft-related info on is Fresno State at Kansas, where transfer EJ Warner assumes the saddle for the Bulldogs in another quarterback clash as he squares up against Jalon Daniels, who enters the season with some concerns surrounding his size. The prime time game on Saturday features the Stanford Cardinal at the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. We will find out just how much Stanford has turned the corner under new general manager Andrew Luck and interim head coach Frank Reich. Meanwhile, Hawaii head coach Timmy Chang has built the Rainbow Warriors into a winning program with a 25-13 record over the past three years. Are you ready for some football? Keep scrolling.
