2027 NFL DRAFT TRACKER: SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS
Location: Columbia, SC || Conference: SEC || Head Coach: Shane Beamer (6 Years: 33-30) || NFL Draft Picks Under Beamer: 20 (3.3 per year) || First Round Picks Under Beamer: 1 || Number of 2026 NFL Draft Picks: 3 || Gamecocks in NFL: 37 (as of 5/20/26)
The Gamecocks are top-heavy with prominent pro prospects, as several players are projected to be selected in, or around first round territory. Surprisingly, South Carolina has had just one player (Xavier Legette) chosen in round one under Shane Beamer. The school produced five draft choices during the 2025 NFL Draft, the most during Beamer’s regime. It’s possible that they exceed that total in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Heavy attention will be paid to the development of LaNorris Sellers (pic: South Carolina Athletics), as he enters his third season as the starter. A dual-threat talent, Sellers can make all the throws and is a bruising runner. Becoming more consistent will be the key for him fetching a first round grade come April.
Look for Sellers to target lengthy and speedy Nyck Harbor often. One of the best deep ball targets in the nation, Harbor possesses rare size and quickness due to his track background. While there have been plenty of big-play moments and flashes of brilliance, he has yet to put it all together. A breakout campaign could be in the cards for 2026.
The highest rated South Carolina product would be Dylan Stewart. A menace off the edge, Stewart has been uber-productive through his first two seasons in Columbia and is on track to go down as one of the greatest Gamecocks players of all-time. If not chosen with the No.1 overall pick, Stewart stands a strong chance to be the first non-quarterback drafted, should he declare.
