2027 NFL DRAFT TRACKER: INDIANA HOOSIERS

Location: Bloomington, IN || Conference: B1G || Head Coach: Curt Cignetti (2 Years: 27-2; Career: 146-37) || NFL Draft Picks Under Cignetti: 10 (5 per year) || First Round Picks Under Cignetti: 2 || Number of 2026 NFL Draft Picks: 8 || Hoosiers in NFL: 28 (as of 5/28/26)

Once considered unthinkable, the Indiana Hoosiers are the kings of college football. Mad scientist Curt Cignetti cooks up winning formulas in his laboratory office, blending shrewd scouting/recruiting and hands-on coaching that preaches fundamental football.

On top of going undefeated (16-0) last season, Indiana also produced the Heisman Trophy winner and number one overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft in quarterback Fernando Mendoza (Raiders). In total, the Hoosiers saw eight players chosen in the 2026 NFL Draft, the most ever in program history. The school did manage seven selections during the 1976 NFL Draft, back when the event was 17 rounds.

This year’s squad features one of the most ferocious wideout duos in the land with the combination of Charlie Becker and Nick Marsh. A clutch performer, Becker made a handful of momentum-changing plays throughout the College Football Playoff and stepped up when needed after Elijah Sarratt (Ravens) went down to injury. Meanwhile, Marsh enters from Michigan State afyer leading the Spartans in receiving in each of the past two seasons.

Also on the mend is offensive tackle Carter Smith (pic: Indiana Athletics). A potential first round pick, Smith suffered a torn labrum during spring ball but could be back in time for the start of the 2026 season. Former TCU signal-caller Josh Hoover will attempt the near-impossible task of replacing the aforementioned Mendoza. He has been susceptible to turnovers throughout his career, we’ll see if Dr. Cignetti can prescribe him a remedy.
