Texas A&M found themselves in the midst of a national championship run, rattling off 11 straight victories before running into their late season swoon. The Aggies produced a whopping 10 draft pick selections during the 2026 NFL Draft, tying their school record. Upon first glance, this year’s team could actually be more loaded, as head coach Mike Elko continues to build up the program.
Sometimes big things come in tiny packages, such is the case of Mario Craver. The speedy Texas A&M wideout is the ultimate playmaker, capable of winning deep but is also a refined route runner and can win underneath. He’s extremely elusive in the open field, plus can also be utilized on end arounds, bubble screens and handoffs. One of the top-rated wideouts in the country, ‘Super Mario’ appears to be first round bound.
Having a competent quarterback certainly helps and Marcel Reed enters year two as the starter after a phenomenal 2025 campaign. A quick-strike passer, Reed makes fast decisions, often hitting his targets in stride and possesses tremendous scrambling ability. Currently a projected Day 3 prospect, he could work his way up draft boards with another strong season.
The defense added several reinforcements, including pas-rusher Anto Saka from Northwestern and linebacker Ray Coney from Tulsa, who will attempt to test their talents in the almighty SEC. Both players arrive to College Station with a proven resume and Saka is one to watch, as he could elevate all the way into the first round.
