The Yellow Jackets have made steady improvement under fifth-year head coach Brent Key, finishing 9-4 in 2025, their best overall record since 2016. Georgia Tech has also seen an increase in next level talent, including 2026 Day 1 selection Keylan Rutledge (Texans). In fact, Rutledge is first Yellow Jackets player to be chosen in the first round since 2010 (Derrick Morgan and Demaryius Thomas).
For the upcoming 2027 NFL Draft, this year’s team could challenge the aforementioned 2010 draft class, in which the school had four NFL draft selections. It begins in the backfield, where Michigan transfer Justice Haynes will split carries with returner standout Malachi Hosley (pic: Ga Tech Athletics) to form one of the most lethal backfield duos in the nation.
